Sometimes, you decide you don't actually want a game. Thankfully, as long as you haven't used the game and are within the return window, you can get your money back in your pocket.
Check the time & use
First things first, make sure that the game you want to refund was purchased from the PlayStation store and not another retailer. It cannot be returned on PlayStation if you bought it somewhere else. Like many real-life purchases, PlayStation game purchases have a limit on the return period. This means that you cannot just wait as long as you want to refund a game. The standard period of return on the PlayStation store is within 14 days.
To return a PlayStation game, you need to ensure you have not started a download or stream of the gaming content. PlayStation considers this used content and does not allow it to be returned. The only exception for this is if the game is faulty somehow.

Contact PlayStation
Go to the PlayStation website once you have determined that the game you want to return is eligible for a refund. Once there, find the Contact Us part of the Support Section. Then, navigate to the Refunds subsection. From there, you can contact PlayStation about getting a refund for the game you want the money back for.
