Sony has announced that they are making significant changes to the PlayStation Plus and Now services. They are introducing new membership options with new benefits. Sony also stated that these changes are massive and would roll out in a staggered release. This may leave you wondering which regions will first get the new PlayStation Plus service.
A new update via the PlayStation blog on April 22, 2022, has revealed the official release schedule for the new PlayStation Plus subscriptions tiers. This details the following schedule for when the new subscription service will be available.
- Asia markets (excluding Japan) – targeting May 23, 2022
- Japan – targeting June 1, 2022
- Americas – targeting June 13, 2022
- Europe – targeting June 22, 2022

These changes will include three flexible options with different costs and benefits. The three options are PlayStation Plus Essential, PlayStation Plus Extra, and PlayStation Plus Premium, increasing in tier in that order.
