How to catch Abra in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Teleport should be banned or something.

Abra is a Psychic type Pokémon who’s part of everyone’s must-catch bucketlist. It evolves into Kadabra and eventually into Alakazam—one of the most formidable Pokémon in the game. The best thing about Abra in Legends is how it can easily be found on the very first map, Obsidian Fieldlands, allowing you to gain a huge advantage when caught. There’s just one problem: it’s very hard to catch.

To catch Abra, you need to throw your Pokéball at a near enough location just after it has teleported to it. Since it’s easily startled, you need to crouch with B and creep to it as slowly as possible. Hide in the tall grasses if you need to.

There are two sneaking speeds. You need to sneak to it at the slowest speed possible. This is done by tilting B ever so slightly just enough for your character to move. You’ll know you’re sneaking too fast if you hear the grass rustle when your character moves. You’re not to supposed to make a single sound.

Alternatively, if you encounter Abra near the Heights Camp (which has a lot of cliffs), you can descend from the cliffs so you can sneak up to Abras from behind. You can also throw an Oran Berry to instead lure it to your location.

Still, the important thing is to not let it see or hear you. Don't rush the process or it will run away.
