How to hunt Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

It's much easier in this game, actually.

Shiny Pokémon may have the same stats but its rarity (and arguably cooler design) makes having one worth it. Usually, you have to sit through hundreds of random encounters before you see one. However, the shiny hunt experience is difficult in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

To shiny hunt in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you need to listen carefully. When shiny Pokémon appear in the overworld, they make a small “cha-ching” sound (like a sparkle)—which is your cue to stop moving and search for it nearby. The shiny Pokémon will appear as its recolored version. They’re very difficult to miss!

Shiny hunting tips for Pokémon Legends: Arceus

  1. Open your settings and raise your special effects sounds to max.
  2. To ensure that you never miss a shiny encounter, wear earphones or headphones. Otherwise, turn up your volume up to 100%.
  3. Fly on Braviary and look down when searching. Shiny Pokémon still spawn even when you’re flying (or surfing).
  4. When you see a shiny Pokémon, save your game. In the case that you accidentally defeat it or the Pokémon flees, you can soft reset. The shiny Pokémon will still be there upon reload.
