How to use heavy Balls in Pokémon Legends: Arceus?

There have been different types of Poke Balls since the beginning of the series, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus is no different. You have your standard types of balls, which should be used only under certain situations. The heavy ball is a new type of ball in the series and, at first, can be a bit intimidating.

You use the heavy ball just like a normal Poke Ball, but you will notice that it really doesn't get thrown that far. This ball is made for close-range use, with it being most effective on Pokémon who aren't aware of your presence yet.

While this may seem like a bit of a letdown, it is actually an incredibly useful tool for catching higher-level Pokémon. It can also be used in combination with tall grass and berries to safely lure and catch unsuspecting Pokémon with ease.

It's always good to have these on hand, especially as you go into higher-level areas, as they can nab you several easy catches. Just be aware that they may not always be the best choice when in battle or when trying to catch an already friendly Pokémon.
