New gameplay shown of Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Noble and mighty Pokémon await you.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a new and innovative entry in the Pokémon series and will be released on January 28, 2022. Since it was first announced, there have been a few videos showcasing the game and some of the Pokémon and features included.

The Pokémon Company released a video on September 28 showing off a noble Pokémon and some other features. You can watch the video below and get a first look at the newly revealed content.

The video gives an in-depth look at some of the customization options for the player's character. These include hairstyles and colors, outfits, and a robust photo mode! Players will be able to customize their trainer to how they see fit. You can even build up Jubilife Village, which could be the same as Jubilife City.

The video showed off riding Pokémon even more, including throwing a Pokéball from the back of a Basculegion. Trainers will be able to ride their Pokémon and clear all sorts of obstacles that would stop them in their tracks normally. Pokémon Legends: Arceus also seems to have a crafting system in which you can create items.

The video also introduces Wardens who protect special Pokémon. While the video did not share much information about these Pokémon, it can be assumed that they are the Noble Pokémon mentioned. These Wardens include Mai, Iscan, Lian, and Arezu. The latter of these Wardens mentions the "Galaxy Team," which could be a predecessor of Team Galactic in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.

With a few more months until Pokémon Legends: Arceus releases, even more videos could be released showing off the game. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will release on November 19, 2021, so Pokémon fans will have plenty to do while waiting for Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
