The Hisui region has introduced a few new Pokémon variants, breathing new life into the Pokédex fans have come to know. While these new forms are exciting and fun to see, such as Hisuian Zorua or Typhlosion, some of the beloved pocket monsters found in previous entries are missing from this new area. Three fan-favorite Ghost-Type Pokémon from Generation One can still be found, causing mischief around Hisui: Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar.

Finding Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar
This ghoulish gang of Pokémon can be found in the Crimson Mirelands, along with occasionally appearing inside of Obsidian Fieldlands' Space-Time Distortions. However, you won't have much luck tracking them down during the day, as they all prefer to be active during the nighttime. Fortunately, this can be easily achieved by choosing to rest at a camp until Nightfall. The locations for each one are as follows:

Catching Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar
Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar are aggressive and will attack you on sight, so be sure to bring some Pokémon with Ghost or Dark-Type moves to give you the upper hand. They can be distracted with food, making them easier to catch, so you'll also want to stock up on their favorites—Hearty Grains, Springy Mushrooms, Dazzling Honey, Crunchy Salt, and Plump Beans.
Gastly and Haunter can easily be found at night in the Crimson Mirelands, and are fairly low level, meaning it won't be too much of a challenge for you to catch them. On the other hand, Gengar is a bit unpredictable due to only appearing in the wild during Space-Time Distortions. Just be patient and keep trying, and eventually, you'll be able to add this ghostly trio to your roster!
