Where to find Upgrade in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Make your Porygon the best it can be!

Pokémon Legends: Arceus features many new evolution mechanics, and one that remains true to the classic Pokémon games is the Upgrade. There is only one Pokémon who evolves using the Upgrade in Pokémon Legends: Arceus: Porygon into Porygon 2.

How to get an Upgrade

There are two primary methods of getting an Upgrade.

  • Trading Post: This is the easiest way to get an Upgrade in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, but it will require some time. The Trading Post in Jubilife Villages sells Upgrades for 1,000 Merit Points. These are collected by finding Lost Satchels on the ground in Hisui and returning them to their owner.
  • Space-Time Distortion: This is available to the player later in the game, but defeating wild Pokémon during these events sometimes drop items, including Upgrades. The item drop rate leaves a lot to be desired, so this isn't the best way to get an Upgrade as it relies heavily on luck. But you can certainly grind out Pokémon encounters here to get one while training your Pokémon.
