What are the best natures for Kyurem in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Kyurem is an incredibly powerful Dragon/Ice-type Pokémon with a base stat total of 660. Its best natures are either of the following:

  • Jolly (+Speed, -Sp. Attack)
  • Timid (+Speed, -Attack)

The nature you choose for Kyurem depends entirely on whether you want it to be a Physical or Special attacker on your team. In either case, you'll want to boost its middling Speed stat, similar to Zekrom. This will help Kyurem outspeed slower opponents so it can make the best of its incredible offensive power. The Jolly nature is best for Kyurem if you want to emphasize its Attack stat with moves like Icicle Spear, while Timid is better for Special moves like Ice Beam.

How to choose the best nature in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

While natures may not be as important in the story campaign of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, they play a pivotal role in PvP battles with other trainers. To choose the best nature for your Pokémon, you'll need to familiarize yourself with its stat spread and learnable moves. This will help you decide the Pokémon's role on your team, as well as the nature that will maximize its potential in battle.

Pokémon like Kyurem do best in offensive roles that take advantage of its high Attack and Special Attack. Other Pokémon, however, are better defensively and should have natures that emphasize this strength. Experiment with Mints and TMs to figure out what builds works best for your team.
