Can you evolve Petilil into Hisuian Lilligant in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet? Answered

How dedicated are you to catching 'em all?

Petilil is a grass-type Pokémon that was originally introduced in the fifth generation of games alongside its evolution, Lilligant. Its importance returned in Pokémon: Legends Arceus when its evolution received a regional variation in the form of Hisuian Lilligant. Just like any other game where Petilil is featured, you can evolve it into Lilligant using a Sun Stone.

This is the same for Hisuian Lilligant, though this can only be done if the player is in the Huisui region. Considering this, you are unable to evolve Peilil into Hisuian Lilligant when you are in the region of Paldea. So, how can you acquire a Hisuian Lilligant in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

How to get Hisuian Lilligant in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

The only way to obtain a Hisuian Lilligant in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is to trade it from Pokémon HOME once they become compatible with each other next year. To do this, you will need to trade your Hisuian Lilligant from Pokémon: Legends Arceus into Pokémon HOME. This won't add the entry to your Pokédex, but you can rest easy knowing that you will have one available when the time comes.

Before you trade your Hisuian Lilligant to Pokémon HOME, ensure that it has the nature that you want because this cannot be altered. The only way to change the nature of a Pokémon is to obtain a different one altogether.
