What are Auto Battles and how do they work in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will introduce various new characters, Pokémon, Gyms, along with several new features. One of these includes the auto-battle feature, which utilizes the Pokemon players travel with across Paldea. This allows you to use the Let's Go feature that sends a Pokémon in specific directions. Your Pokémon will do things independently, collecting essential items and even picking a few fights. Here's everything players need to know about the auto-battle feature in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

How do auto-battles work in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, players will see the new auto-battle feature, which allows your Pokémon to battle other Pokémon found in the wild. You will need to activate the Let's Go feature while walking with your Pokémon. This feature allows Pokémon to work independently without depending on commands from the Trainer. You can direct your Pokémon toward an auto-battle, or it can find it on its own.

Trainers can engage in other activities while their Pokémon is engaged in an auto-battle. For instance, you can collect items from nearby or watch the fight while staying beside your Pokémon. Your Pokémon will gain Exp. points, and even earn items by defeating other Pokémon found in the wild while auto-battling.

Players can see several new characters like Brassius, Geeta, Mela, and others in the official Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Seek Your Treasure video.
