How to get and use Mirror Herb in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

The Mirror Herb in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is a hold item that can be used once per battle to mirror any stat increases from the opposing Pokémon. Using this item in battle has many strategies attached to it, such as using Swagger or Flatter, but it also has uses for learning Egg Moves. Where to get the Mirror Herb in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

The Mirror Herb can be purchased from Delibird Presents near the north entrance of Cascarrafa, located near Area One of the West Province. The item itself costs 30,000 and can be purchased with either LP or money, so players might have to try and find some other field items to sell for it. The Mirror Herb causes the stat increases of the opposing Pokémon to be copied onto the item holder once per battle.

This is especially useful when facing strong Pokémon trying to use moves like Swords Dance or Dragon Dance as it will keep momentum in the player's favor still. Crafting TMs like Swagger and using it against the opposing Pokémon will confuse the target while also gaining the user a +2 in Attack, doubling its damage.

How to use Mirror Herb to learn Egg Moves in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

The additional effect of the Mirror Herb is to have Pokémon learn Egg Moves without having to breed with other Pokémon in their Egg Group. If the Pokémon holding the Mirror Herb is able to learn a move, players can have a picnic with the item holder and any Pokémon that knows the desired move together. When exiting the picnic, the Pokémon will learn the desired Egg Move. This speeds up the process of having to breed and skips having to chain breed for specific moves as well.
