Iron Leaves has been added to the Paldea region in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Update 1.2.0 patch. Players are able to encounter Paradox Virizion in 5-Star raids that run from February 27th until March 12th, 2023. If you've already managed to defeat the special raid event, you may then be wondering where you can find the future Grass-type Pokémon's coveted Shiny form.

Although Paradox shinies exist in Gen 9, Iron Leaves can not be caught as a Shiny in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The move may surprise some players, as every other Paradox Pokémon in Paldea has Shiny forms. However, Game Freak has been Shiny-locking special events since Cinderace debuted as a 7-Star raid boss in December 2022. Because you can't breed Paradox Pokémon, this means that players are not currently able to get a Shiny version of Virizion in the Gen 9 RPGs.

As of the 1.2.0 update, Iron Leaves is Shiny locked. The good news is that dataminers have already uncovered the Shiny model for Paradox Virizion, which means that it will be added to the game eventually. The Pokémon Company has also confirmed that both Iron Leaves and Walking Wake will be "returning in the future." So you will have to wait a little bit longer before you can add the Shiny form of the Paradox Unova Legendary to your Pokémon collection.
