Pokémon Scarlet and Violet lets your Pokémon collect items and auto battle

A new way to battle is coming.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are the latest entries in the series and are bringing numerous changes. This includes the new Let's Go feature, allowing you to send your Pokémon to collect items and engage in auto battles.

The Seek Your Treasure trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet showcased this new feature around the 44-second mark. Here, you can see the trainer's Pokémon battling several Pokémon in the overworld. This is the new auto-battle feature.

Auto battles are a new battle system in which the Pokémon that follows you in the field can be designated to battle Pokémon on its own. It will either battle the Pokémon you target or seek them out on its own. Pokémon can still earn experience and items through auto-battling, which is a good way to save time when grinding.

Auto battles and gathering items alone are only two new features in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. You can watch the Seek Your Treasure trailer on the official Pokémon Company YouTube channel to see these in action.
