Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be unique battles where you can challenge Tera type Pokémon with your friends. At certain times there will be Special Tera Raid Battle Events in which players have increased odds of finding certain types of Pokémon. Read on for more information about these events.
What are Special Tera Raid Battle Events for in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?
For certain periods, players will notice special crystals with a unique aura surrounding them where they can battle specific Pokémon or Pokémon with a certain Tera Type. This will allow players to catch certain Pokémon they might be looking for. Like Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Special Tera Raid Battle Events will only be available for limited times. However, they will not feature an increase in difficulty beyond regular Tera Raid Battles.

Players will be able to challenge Generation I's Eevee in its various Tera type forms from November 24 to 27, 2022. No further event periods have been announced yet. Players can challenge Tera Raid battles on their own. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is necessary to participate in Tera Raid Battles with others.
