What are the legendary Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet?

Two powerful Pokémon await you.

A new generation of Pokémon has arrived, and this means trainers will be able to encounter and capture many new adorable monsters. One of the most exciting and challenging aspects is trying to catch the legendary Pokémon. This may leave you wondering who the legendaries are in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Both Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will receive their own unique legendary Pokémon. These are Koraidon and Miraidon, whose names may reveal some information about them. Unfortunately, not much is known about these Pokémon yet, but here is what we know.

Each legendary has a design matching their professor with Koraidon having a prehistoric look while Miraidon has a more futuristic look. This could suggest that there is some form of past versus the future motif in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

What kind of pokemon is Koraidon in Pokémon Scarlet?

Koraidon has a dragon-like design, fitting for a legendary Pokémon, and will be available in Pokémon Scarlet. It is hard to gauge what other typing it could be, but The Pokémon Company will likely reveal more as the release date gets closer.

What kind of pokemon is Miraidon in Pokémon Violet?

Miraidon has a dragon-like design mixed with a possible fighter jet appearance and is the legendary for Pokémon Violet. This, combined with the lightning bolts on its head, could mean that it has a dragon, steel, or electric typing. This is speculation, and more information will likely be revealed later on.

Which version goes with which Legendary?

Koraidon is the legendary Pokémon for Scarlet, while Miraidon is the legendary Pokémon for Violet. Both of these Pokémon are featured as the box art for their respective versions and feature a stunning design. Each one will likely be exclusive to its respective version outside of trading.
