Best Nature for Gible, Gabite, and Garchomp in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Optimize your Psuedo-Legendary!

Each generation of Pokémon has a pseudo-legendary, a Pokémon so ferocious it becomes a terror on the battlefield. Generation 4's pseudo-legendary line—Gible, Gabite, and Garchomp are titans in their own right, and when paired with optimal Natures, they become almost unstoppable. Here are the best Natures for Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl's pseudo-legendary line.

We've listed the optimal Natures for Gible, Gabite, and Garchomp below:

  • Adamant (+Attack, -Special Attack)
  • Jolly (+Speed, -Special Attack)

Both Adamant and Jolly Natures are viable options for Gible, Gabite, and Garchomp. Physical Attackers don't need or use Special Attacks, so the stat decrease is inconsequential. The Nature players select comes down to preference, as both types come with pros and cons.

Jolly versions of Gible, Gabite, and Garchomp will almost always outpace their powerful competitors like Salamence even if they run a similar Speed-boosting Nature. Players who want to ensure they go first in battle will want to select a Jolly Nature.

Those who prefer Attack power over Speed should go with the Adamant Nature for Gible, Gabite, and Garchomp. Adamant Nature improves the potency of offensive abilities like Earthquake and Stone Edge in battle, making a terrifying partner Pokémon capable of one-shotting adversaries. Gible, Gabite, and Garchomp may not always go first with this Nature, but few will match their strength.

We chose an Adamant Nature when playing with Gible, Gabite, and Garchomp, favoring Attack over Speed, as Garchomp has an incredible base Speed stat, meaning few Pokémon will outpace him.

Head over to Serebii.net for a great breakdown of the pros and cons of Gible, Gabite, and Garchomp's preferred Natures.
