Pokémon fans can now obtain the legendary Pitch Black Pokémon, Darkrai, in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. To obtain this Pokémon, players need to have a save file from Pokémon Legends: Arceus and have beaten the game's main missions. After this is complete, players can follow the steps below in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl to catch Darkrai.
- Obtain the National Pokédex in the Hall of Fame.
- Use the Mystery Gift feature to obtain the Member Card* item.
- Visit Canalave City and enter the inn that was locked prior to this event.
- Travel to Newmoon Island and locate Darkrai.

The legendary God Pokémon, Arceus, was also added to Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. To catch this Pokémon, players will also need to have save data from Pokémon Legends: Arceus with a completed game on file.
