How to get Munchlax and Snorlax in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

One percent is just lazy.

Snorlax is a Pokémon that needs no introduction. Players can catch it in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, but you won't just find this lazy and lovable lug lying around. Instead, you will have to evolve it from a Munchlax. You might be wondering where to catch a Munchlax.

To get a Munchlax and Snorlax in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you will have to use honey trees—like a lot of honey trees. Munchlax has a one percent encounter rate making it very difficult to find. Even worse, in the original games, you could only get it from specific honey trees based on your Trainer ID. It's unknown if this is true of the remakes.

Regardless, that one percent encounter rate is enough to drive anyone mad. It will be a grind to get your hands on a Munchlax and, inevitably, Snorlax. We recommend slathering every honey tree with honey that you find to increase your odds of catching one.

You might be asking why you should bother with catching a Munchlax. Not only will it be necessary to complete your Pokédex, but Snorlax is an all-around good Pokémon. It is a hard-hitting tank with HP and solid special defense and attack.
