Jigglypuff gets Spotlight Hour in Pokémon GO

Probably means a lot of Singing will be going on.

February 2023 seems to be a good month for Normal-types in Pokémon GO. Not only was Pidgey featured in a Spotlight Hour earlier in the month, but now trainers get to look for Jigglypuff. This is easily one of the more famous Pokémon in existence, gaining notoriety with its appearances in spin-offs like Pokémon Unite and Super Smash Bros.

The small and cute Jigglypuff will be available via Spotlight Hour on February 21, 2023 from 6pm to 7pm local time. This means that trainers can load up on Jigglypuff encounters to raise up, trade away, or simply keep around. Jigglypuff will also have a chance to be shiny, so it's definitely a good idea to try and catch multiple ones.

The bonus feature for the Jigglypuff Spotlight Hour is 2x Catch XP. If trainers have any Lucky Eggs on them, now is the time to use them. Even if not for Jigglypuff, trainers can acquire loads of XP to use on their other Pokémon, level them up, and get them ready for battle.

Jigglypuff's evolution, Wigglytuff, may not be the strongest option for Battle League, but it has a ton of Stamina (295). As such, Wigglytuff could find itself on some successful Gym Defense teams.

Jigglypuff is the subject of the third Spotlight Hour in February. The final spotlight hour of the month will go to Slakoth on February 28. That will certainly be another date to look out for, as Slakoth can evolve into Slaking, a monster with an enormous 290 Attack stat.
