Pokémon Go: April Community Day – Event Bonuses, Special Research, and Featured Pokémon

Niantic announced the April Community Day for Pokémon Go players. The event will focus on the Pokémon Stufful and will take place on Saturday, April 23, 2022. The hours for the event are 2pm local time to 5pm local time. This is a bit later than the normal hours for Pokémon Go's Community Days.

Featured Pokémon

Stufful has not been released in the mobile game yet and is set to debut during the April Community Day. Players will need to catch enough Stufful to obtain 400 Stufful Candies in order to evolve the Pokémon into Bewear. Stufful that evolve into Bewear during the event will learn the exclusive move Drain Punch. This is a Fighting-type move, which falls in line with the Pokémon's sole Fighting typing.

Event Bonuses

There are several Event Bonuses that players can take part in during April's Community Day. The Event Bonuses give players increased XP, Candy, and even increased Special Trades for the day. All Event Bonuses (including the event's Group Play Bonus) can be found below:

• Three-times catch XP
• Two-times catch Candy
• Two-times chance to obtain a Stufful XL Candy when catching a Stufful
• Lure Modules that are started during the event will last for three hours instead of one
• Incense started during the event will last for three hours
• Snapshots taken during Community Day will feature a surprise
• Trades made during Community Day (and up to two hours after) will cost 50% less Stardust
• Players can make one additional Special Trade during the event (and up to two hours after)

Group Play Bonus

Players will work together with other trainers to meet a goal during the Community Day event. If players can catch enough Pokémon near a specific Pokéstop with a Lure Module active, the three-times catch XP will become four-times catch XP.

Event Bundles

There will be a few new bundles available in the in-game shop during, and shortly before, the event. A one-time purchase Community Day Box will be available for 850 PokéCoins. It will contain 15 Ultra Balls, 15 Pinap Berries, one Elite Fast TM, and one Remote Raid Pass. A free bundle containing 30 Ultra Balls will also be available during the event.
