Pokémon GO: July Community Day – Event Bonuses, Special Research, & Featured Pokémon

Shiny Pokémon are very sought after, so it's no wonder why Community Days are some of the most exciting events in Pokémon GO. Community Days give players a greatly increased chance of encountering one of these elusive Pokémon. July 2022's Community Day will feature Starly, the Generation Four Starling Pokémon. The event will take place on July 17, 2022, from 11am to 2pm local time.

Featured Pokémon - Starly

Shiny Starly's color palette is pretty similar to its original, with the Shiny variant of the Pokémon sporting a slightly lighter tone of brown in its feathers. The Pokémon retains a similar look when it is evolved into its two following evolutions, Staravia and Staraptor.

Featured Attack

If players evolve a Starly into a Staraptor during the Community Day hours, or up to five hours after, the Pokémon will know the move Gust. This is a Flying-type move that players can unleash against opponents in Raid Battles or Trainer Battles.

Special Research

Players can gain access to exclusive Starly Special Research on Community Day by purchasing access in the shop for $1.00 USD or equivalent pricing in their region's currency. Purchasing access to the Special Research gives players access to more quests and rewards during Community Day.

Event Bonuses

There will be a load of Bonuses for players to take advantage of during the event. The full list of Bonuses can be found below.

• Three times XP for catching Pokémon
• Two times Candy for catching Pokémon
• Incense activated within Community Day hours will last for three hours
• Players can make an additional special trade during the event
• Two times chance to receive Starly XL Candy from Starly catches
• Lure Modules activated within Community Day hours will last for three hours
• Trades made during the event will cost 50% less Stardust
• Snapshots taken during the event will feature a surprise Pokémon
