Project Zomboid Maintenance leveling guide

Here's how to level up maintenance in Project Zomboid.

To level maintenance up in Project Zomboid, you will need to simply use weapons or tools in the game. Using weapons to kill zombies will level maintenance every time the weapon doesn't roll a durability loss.

Because of this, using melee weapons to kill zombies is one of the best ways to level up maintenance. You also don't have to worry about grinding too much, as you will be attacking zombies for most of the game.

The other way to level maintenance and arguably the best way is to use a tool such as an ax to chop down trees. Also, the more you use tools that eat up durability in general will level your maintenance quickly.

The best way to level up maintenance in Project Zomboid

The best way to level up maintenance in Project Zomboid is to spam craft a ton of stone axes and repeatedly chop down trees.

Doing so is a low-cost way of raising the skill without having to waste items such as wood axes or fire axes. That said, you can craft a stone axe by using a tree branch, chipped stone, and either ripped sheets, dirty rag, or twine.

If you don't know how to get these resources, you can get both the tree branch and chipped stone you need by foraging. To get ripped sheets or dirty rags, you must rip up clothes, and twine can be looted from cabinets.
