How to unlock Warden in Remnant 2 Dark Horizon

The Archetype that was added in the Dark Horizon DLC.

In the Dark Horizon DLC, you can find a whole new Archetype called the Warden. To unlock it, you will need to find the engram out in the world and bring it back to Wallace.

To unlock the Warden, you will need to get the Command Module in the Overworld of N'Erud. Once you reach the second major open world section of the map of N'Erud and unlock the Withered Necropolis fast travel spot, find the Custodian (the green marker on the map below). There will be a mechanism on the edge of the cliff sort of nearby (the blue marker on the map below); once you get close enough to it, a glider will pop out and allow you to glide your way down the cliff.

Jump off the cliff and hug the massive pillar to the right; you're looking for wind pillars to push you up into the air again a few times. There will be a well-lit area above you to fly into that you will need to ride an airstream up into. Kill all the enemies that spawn there, then walk through the left entrance and find the long bridge. There will be an elite enemy partway down the bridge. At the end of the bridge, you will find the Withered Mechanism; pick it up and bring it back to Wallace. There is a checkpoint nearby as well that you can jump down to.

Wallace, or Wally, can be found at Ward 13. Look for him at the docks in a little house at the top of the stairs. He will craft the unique equipable item needed to unlock the Warden, just like he did with the other Archetypes so far. You will need to bring him the module and five Lumenite Crystals, and he will make you the item you need to become a Warden.

What does the Warden start with in Remnant 2?

Once you have unlocked the Warden, you can make a brand-new character that is a Warden. They will begin with unique starting armor; it's the Nanoplated armor set. It's an extremely lightweight armor set that looks pretty cool. It also gives you pretty good Bleed, Blight, and Fire resistance. One of the coolest features of the Warden is the drone; it shows where enemies are on the mini-map while it is active.

The long gun you start with is the Plasma Cutter which has a unique weapon mode called Heat Sink; it increases the max damage and your weapon overheats much slower. The gun says it overheats automatically when Heat Sink is no longer active, but that didn't seem to happen to me when I used it (this may be a bug). It is an energy-based cutting tool that produces a steady stream of damage.

The handgun shoots a stream of nanomachines that gives any friendly drones or turrets energy or heals your allies when you shoot it at them. It also has an overheating mechanism. The gun also doesn't have a built-in unique mod, so you can choose which mod you want for it. This means you start the game with two mods, one on each gun, which is a pretty strong way to begin a new playthrough.

The Warden also gets a cool-looking melee weapon called the Harvester Scythe. It has a fairly fast attack, but its charged attack has a phantom blade that boosts your melee speed by a significant amount. You can chain charged attacks together to get plenty of stacks of these speed boosts.
