Remnant 2 Thaen Seed – Should you give it to the queen or plant it?

Give up the seed or plant new life?

Across Remnant 2's many worlds, I've encountered numerous quests, puzzles, bosses, and difficult decisions. Some have been easy, such as deciding whether to save the hanging man in the Butcher's Quarters, while others have been more difficult. One hard choice I had to make was what to do with the Thaen Seed in Remnant 2.

What to do with the Thaen Seed in Remnant 2

Once you receive the Thaen Seed in Remnant 2, you'll be faced with a decision: you can give it to the Queen or take it back to Ward 13 and plant it. While the choice is up to you, I recommend planting the Thaen Seed in the garden at Ward 13. The benefits from this choice seem better than the alternative, but you can weigh both options below.

Giving the Thaen Seed to the Queen at the Red Throne in Yaesha will give you two rewards. The first is The Burden of the Rebel. This ring gives you a 15% cooldown on all skills and speeds up Relic use by 25%. The other reward is significantly less useful; it makes all Pan warriors friendly to you.

If you take the Thaen Seed back to Ward 13, you will be able to plant it. In time, it will grow into a tree and start producing Mature Thaen Fruit. This item can be eaten to automatically revive when you die with 30% and grants immunity to status effects for 30 seconds. I highly recommend going with this option, especially if you play solo and have no one to revive you.
