Resident Evil 4 Remake Platinum Trophy Road Map

The optimum number of playthroughs in the road map for the Resident Evil 4 Remake Platinum Trophy is six, as it will give you time to learn the game and the chance to complete the first run normally.

  • First playthrough: Take your time to familiarize yourself with the game mechanics on this one, and enjoy. Get as many resources and money as possible during this run, picking up the easiest trophies along the way.
  • Second playthrough: Start this run on Assisted NG+. You are going for the Minimalist and Frugalist trophies now, so only use handguns and knives, ensuring they're fully upgraded. To run through as quickly as possible, skip all the cutscenes and voice comms. When reaching Chapter 16, buy the Infinite Rocket Launcher, but don't use it on the final boss.
  • Third playthrough: It's time to complete this on Professional NG+, but fear not because the Infinite Rocket Launcher should make things significantly more manageable. It one-shots most bosses, so you should be fine. You should aim to finish the game in under seven hours. Completing this run, you should have several trophies, many of which are time-sensitive ones.
  • Fourth playthrough: You should do the clean Professional playthrough on this run without the NG+ content. This will be an exceedingly difficult run since you won't have the advantages from your previous playthroughs, and the enemies will be very aggressive and tough to beat this time. You will also have ammo shortages, especially during the first chapters of the game. At this point, you will have to use the game knowledge you have gathered so far and put it to the test. Your main advantages here will be the Gas Mask to enable you to use the aim assist and Ashley's Armor to protect her from enemies.
  • Fifth playthrough: This run should focus on you obtaining the S+ rank, which means you can't play the NG+ playthrough. Start the game on Standard mode. You can use the bonus weapons to aid you, so obtain them immediately. Use the Gas Mask and upgrade the Chicago Sweeper to get unlimited ammunition. The goal is to finish the game in under five hours, so don't press the Continue button when you die. Use the Typewriter save instead to save time.

  • Sixth playthrough: This run will focus on the S+ Rank Investigator trophy, and to get it, you must start the game on Hardcore and obtain an S+ Rank. All the rules from the previous playthrough apply here. The run will be much more difficult because of the added difficulty. After completing this run, you should finally have all the trophies in the game, successfully unlocking the Platinum Trophy for Resident Evil 4 Remake.
