When is River City Girls 2 Release Date?

River City Girls are back!

Nintendo's Dec. 2021 Indie Showcase offered more insight on upcoming Indie titles that are coming to the Nintendo Switch soon, and WayForward's River City Girls 2 made an appearance at the Direct— offering fans a much-anticipated update, including a release window.

River City Girls 2 will release in Summer 2022. While WayForward didn't give an exact date, players can expect to see this game hit storefronts in the second or third quarter of 2022. WayForward announced that the title would be coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC at release.

River City Girls 2 expands the existing roster, giving players six different characters to choose from in the sequel, including:

  • Provie (Newcomer)
  • Misako
  • Kyoko
  • Kunio
  • Riki
  • Marian (Newcomer)

These six fighters will have to team up to take on an old enemy in an expanded city when River City Girls 2 launches in 2022.
