How to start fishing in Slayers 2 - Fishing Permit Quest
To start fishing in Slayers 2, you must be at least level 45. If you are a beginner, try to level up before you start fishing. Then, go to Mistfall Harbor and meet the Dock Master Sofen NPC in the central part of the Harbor. He will tell you to get a Fishing Permit to fish in the area and be eligible to purchase a fishing rod.
Getting this is pretty easy, as the Permit papers are literally on top of a few wooden crates near a building on the other side of the docks. Take them and return to him.
All Rods in Slayer 2 & how to get them
Slayers 2 has three fishing rods: Basic, Rare & Legendary.
Basic Fishing Rod
You can purchase the Basic Fishing Rod from the Fisherman Jeso NPC standing slightly to the right of the Dock Master. After acquiring the Permit, pay $3500 to buy one. It is a simple basic fishing rod with no buffs or passives, but it will help you start your fishing journey in Slayers 2.
Rare Fishing Rod
After the Basic Fishing Rod, the next Rod you should get is the Rare Fishing Rod. You can also get it from Fisherman Jesto for $10,000 after catching 5 Golden Fish with your Basic Fishing Rod. Unlike the Basic one, this has decent buffs and Passives to help you catch better fish.

Legendary Fishing Rod
The Legendary Fishing Rod is the best in the game and is locked behind a lengthy quest. First, speak with the Dockmaster, who will hint at where to fish to get the Drowned Lure, an essential item for the Legendary Rod. This location is a small ledge opposite the water vent, just a few meters from the dock. Stand here and start fishing for the item without any Bait using your Basic Rod. Usually around the 5th or 6th successful catch, you will get the Drowned Lure.
After you get the Drowned Lure, meet the Ghost Fisherman NPC who spawns under the red bridge across the ledge where you were standing earlier to get the Drowned Lure. Speak with him, and he will ask you to get x2 Crustadon & x2 Krahuon-type fish. Both of these are Legendary-type fish that players can catch by standing at the same ledge. For this, I recommend using your Rare Rod with something like the Shark Head to make this easy.
Once you have both fish, return them to him, and he will tell you the exact location where you must fish to get the Legendary Rod. This particular location is right outside the Butterfly Estate, next to a tree with a small waterfall in front of it. Check the images and maps above for a clearer view. When you obtain the Legendary Fishing Rod, you will automatically unlock the Legendary Fisherman Title. Equipping this title provides the following passives, which are very useful if you are grinding for items or materials.

How to get Baits in Slayers 2
Like most fishing games, Slayers 2 also features a Bait system. Players can buy bait from the Baitmonger Nori NPC in Hidden Mist Village. When you speak with the NPC for the first time, the character will ask you to meet the Shiori NPC at Butterfly Estate and meet her needs. Travel tothe Butterfly Estate and give x10 Health Elixir, x10 Health Regen Elixir & x10 Stamina Elixir. Then return to the Baitmonger Nori NPC, who will sell the following Baits.
- Worms - $4
- Fish Head - $6
- Golden Tentacle - 40 Robux
As mentioned earlier, baits improve your chance of getting better fish or items while fishing and make the fishing mini-game much easier.
How does the Fishing Mini- Game Work in Slayers 2
The Fishing Mini-Game in Slayers 2 is similar to every other fishing game on Roblox. Equip your Rod from your inventory and cast your line into any body of water. When an item or fish bites the bait, a green bar appears along with the white one. Try to keep the green bar within the white bar's movement to speed up progress. When the progress bar hits 100% at the bottom, you will get your item.
What is fishing used for in Slayers 2?
As mentioned earlier, fishing is mainly used for two things in Slayers 2: Grinding for Money & materials. For Money, you can use something like a Basic or Rare Rod to catch fish, then sell them. But grinding Money like this will outgrow quickly, since quests & tasks provide way more. On the other hand, you can use something like the Legendary Rod to get items like Mythical Ores, Metal Scraps & Silk Threads. The Rod consistently provides items or resources over fish, which is extremely useful for progressing in the game.
How to Refine Your Fishing Rods in Slayers 2
Similar to weapons, you can refine your fishing rods in Slayers 2 to improve their stats. To do this, visit the Rifer Hagane NPC in Hidden Mist Village and spend Money and Ores to upgrade your rods. While the initial refinements require basic ores, higher refinement levels demand increasingly rare materials, such as Mythical Ores.
Remember, Refinement only increases your Rod's Luck stat. Each successful Refinement boosts its Luck rating without affecting other attributes, such as Bite Speed.
