To unlock Refinement in Slayers 2, reach level 65 and complete the Blacksmith’s quest in the Hidden Mist Village. How to Unlock Weapons Refinement in Slayers 2
To unlock Refinement in Slayers 2, go to the Hidden Mist Village and speak to the Blacksmith NPC on the ground level of a tall tower. Once you do, you'll need to complete his quest; only then can you access refining. Be aware, though, that you can only do this once you have reached level 65.
The Mist Village is east of the Bamboo Grove Sanctuary, which is east of the starting spawn location. A useful waypoint that should help you get there is the Obari Hashira Boss. Once you locate him inside the Bamboo Grove, continue past him through one of the red archways. Since there are several archways, look for the one surrounded by mist, then jump down into the thicker mist to discover the Hidden Mist Village.
How to Farm Refinement and Mythic Refinement Ores in Slayers 2
There are several ways to farm ores in Slayers 2. The first and most efficient is to earn them as rewards for defeating the Hashira bosses scattered across the world. The second method, often overlooked, is farming them in the Ouwigahara dungeon. This is the harder method, since you have to trade in a massive amount of earned dungeon raid points for only a meager Ore payout. Lastly, you can also fish them out.
You will want to get the hang of these methods quickly, since the Refinement and Mythic Refinement Ores are the two main materials needed to refine your weapons in Slayers 2. On top of that, you will want to accumulate large amounts of Wen, the standard currency you earn by doing basically anything in this game (quests, defeating enemies...).
The first method is more viable than the others because, as you fight and defeat bosses, you cannot only get ores but also obtain their mythic accessories. This matters because you can then take these accessories to Ginzo, a merchant in Mistfall Harbor, and trade them for Mythic Refinement Ores, which are otherwise much harder to come by. This effectively doubles your drop chances when you farm ores by fighting bosses. You will just have to make sure to complete the quest given by Ginzo, since you will not be able to gain access to his shop if you have not done so. You can also obtain regular Refinement Ores this way.

If you choose to farm the ores through the Ouwigahara dungeon, you should know that it is located at the south of the map, adjacent to the Forgotten Ruins. You can also fish out these ores, which, although inefficient because of the ridiculously low chances, can help newer players struggling with Slayers 2's combat system. Grab your fishing rod, head to the nearest body of water, and bring plenty of patience if you choose this route.
How to Prevent Refinement Failure
When you refine in Slayers 2, it can fail, which will cause your weapon level to drop by one. This is obviously very detrimental and can get quite expensive very fast if you stack several failures in a row. Thankfully, a material can help prevent this: the Refinement Guard. You can get Refinement Guards as rewards from boss loot chests or even fish them out. However, do not expect to get them often since this material only comes in the rarest "Impossible" rarity. Only use them when you want to refine already high-level weapons!
