The Fish It Ancient Jungle expansion update removed all the Halloween-themed content and expanded the Sacred Temple, adding more fish to catch and areas to explore. So, we’ve put together a complete guide that will tell you how to open the Sacred Temple door, access the new area, take part in the new group fishing event, and everything else you can do on the Ancient Jungle island.
How to Open the Sacred Temple Door in Fish It
Before you head out, make sure to purchase the Fish Radar if you don’t have it already. Then, from Fisherman Island, head towards Kohana and take a right to go to the new Ancient Jungle Island. Go straight through the docks and follow the street lamps to reach the door of the Ancient Temple. You have to collect four artifacts and activate their respective levers to unlock the door.
If you inspect the walls on either side of the door, you’ll see silhouettes of the four artifacts (Hourglass Diamond, Crescent, Diamond, and Arrow) that you have to find. Read on to find more about the locations of the levers and the artifacts.
- Crescent Artifact & Lever: From the temple door, go straight and pass through the inner body of water. You’ll see two hills in front of you. Climb up the one to your right and go to its cliff to find the Crescent Lever. Now, activate your Fish Radar, and it will highlight an area where you must fish to obtain the Crescent Artifact. After finding the Artifact, place it and activate the lever.
- Arrow Artifact & Lever: From the Crescent location, head left and follow the edge. Keep your Fish Radar active, and you’ll see a red area. Fish in that area to obtain the Arrow Artifact, and you’ll find the lever just behind it as well.
- Diamond Artifact & Lever: Head back to the temple’s door and walk towards the wooden bridge in front. Standing on it, look to your left and go towards the big hill. Go behind it and you’ll find an area highlighted in purple. You can find the Diamond Artifact by fishing in that area, and the lever is nearby, too.
- Hourglass Diamond Artifact & Lever: For the last artifact and lever, go behind the temple door to find an area highlighted in yellow.
Once you’ve activated all four levers, the Sacred Temple’s door will open, giving you access to two underground areas- Crystalline Passage and Ancient Ruin.
How to Get to the Ancient Ruin in Fish It
When you enter the Sacred Temple, you’ll see a New Expansion door with Level 200+ written over it. If you are a 200+ Level player, you can walk through it to access an elevator that will take you to the Crystalline Passage.
To get the Ancient Ruin, follow the crystals through the passage until you reach another entrance. Walk through it and you’ll reach the door to the Ancient Ruin. You must place the following four fish on the platforms to open the door:

After catching all four, head back to the entrance of Ancient Ruin and place these down to open the door.
Behind the door is the Ancient Ruin that hosts the Ancient Lochness Monster event. It is a group fishing event that starts every 4 hours and gives you a chance of catching the Special Secret Ancient Lochness Monster.
Similar to the Halloween Event, you can participate in this event with friends/as a group to increase your chances of catching the Ancient Lochness Monster. The event lasts for 10 minutes. After that, the Ancient Ruin will close, and you’ll spawn out of the Ancient Ruin.
How to get the Elemental Rod in Fish It?
With the Ancient Jungle update, a new quest-locked rod got added to Fish It. It’s called the Elemental Rod, and you can get it by completing a quest in the Underground Cellar on the Ancient Jungle Island.
The Underground Cellar is a hidden location on the Ancient Jungle Island. It can only be accessed during nighttime, and here’s how to find the entrance:
- Go to the Ancient Jungle Island.
- From the main docks, follow the water going to the right and go straight to find the door for the Underground Cellar.
- Wait for it to turn nighttime for the door to open.
- Go down the stairs and hop over the green fluid by jumping on the pillars. If you fall down, you’ll die and respawn at Fisherman Island.
Once you make it all the way down to the cellar, you’ll find the Element Quest board. Interact with it to see the requirements for obtaining the Elemental Rod and start the quest. You must:
- Own the Ghostfinn Rod.
- Catch 1 Secret Fish at the Ancient Jungle.
- Catch 1 Secret Fish at the Sacred Temple.
- Create 3 Transcended Stones.
After completing these four tasks, you’ll obtain the Elemental Rod, currently the best rod in Fish It.
How to Get Double Enchantment on a Fishing Rod in Fish It
You can now get double enchantment on your fishing rod using the altar at the Ancient Jungle Island. Go to the Ancient Jungle Island and head towards the Sacred Temple. On both sides of the temple’s door, you’ll see stairs. Climb to the top using those stairs and you’ll reach the altar.
However, this altar works differently from the one at the Esoteric Depths island.
Instead of Enchant Stones, you need Transcended Stones to use this altar and get a second enchantment on your rod. To get a Transcended Stone in Fish It, you need to catch and trade a Secret Fish with the Temple Guardian NPC standing next to the altar.
The Secret Fish requirement does make the whole process difficult and time-consuming, but the double boost is well worth the grind.
