Below, I have listed 5 tips to help you take down the Gelum Boss much more quickly and strategically in VV Ultimatum.
- The first thing to keep in mind throughout the fight is to avoid Gelum's AOE attacks. Fortunately, they're easy to spot, as he always creates a red square indicator before striking. As soon as you see it appear, either dash out of the marked area or use a dash-tap to counter the attack
- For most of the fight, you'll be engaging in parry trades. Wait for Gelum's predictable M1 attacks and time your parries carefully to gain the advantage. Additionally, many of his abilities count as heavy attacks and have long windup animations, making them easy to read. Whenever you spot one charging up, press F to counter it directly.
- While fighting, try to stay close to Gelum and position yourself around his blind spots. Holding your ground will give you plenty of opportunities to land parries and secure guard breaks, allowing you to maintain pressure throughout the fight.
- Whenever Gelum is stunned, move in close and land a Critical Hit. Immediately, start chaining M1 attacks to maximize your damage output while he's vulnerable.
- If you think you are losing a lot of health and are unable to withstand his attacks, run & reposition! Doing this allows you to think about your move and avoid taking any damage, as he does not have any projectile attacks, and the only thing he can do is spawn the red square box, which I suggested you evade from the start.
