How to get all free items in Festival Tycoon – Chainsmokers Concert Event

Let's get this party started!

The popular and award-winning EDM duo The Chainsmokers has joined the Roblox Metaverse with two themed experiences: The Chainsmokers Concert Experience and Festival Tycoon! In this guide, we'll be discussing Festival Tycoon, which, similar to Military Tycoon or Car Dealership Tycoon, requires players to earn cash, unlock unique characters, and build from the ground up to create the perfect concert venue for The Chainsmokers. As you progress through this experience, you also have the opportunity to earn a handful of free avatar items. To learn more about how to unlock these items, continue reading below.

Purple Shades

The Purple Shades are the first unlockable item inside of Festival Tycoon. To receive them, players must purchase the DJ NPC that's located in front of spawn. Before purchasing this DJ, however, you must first purchase all the other NPCs, items, and building pieces in the surrounding area.

Upon spawning into Festival Tycoon, your island will be completely barren. To begin building, step on the glowing button in front of you, and then continue to step on the new buttons that appear around you.

Eventually, you will run out of money after stepping on a handful of buttons. To get more money, head toward a nearby ATM and press the green button in front of it. Upon doing so, you will withdraw all of the money inside the machine. Don't worry—more money is generated/added to the ATM every second!

To earn money faster, we recommend purchasing all available yellow buttons before purchasing blue ones. purchasing yellow buttons (adding NPCs) increases the amount of money you earn per second, while purchasing blue buttons (adding buildings/items) does not.

Once you've finished purchasing all the buttons in the starting area, including the DJ booth, you can finally purchase and unlock the DJ NPC for this area.

Once this NPC is unlocked, you will earn the Purple Shades badge and item.

Neon Gas Mask

To earn the Neon Gas Mask, players must purchase and unlock the DJ booth and DJ NPC which are both located in the Main Stage area of the map. Similar to the starting area, players must purchase all buttons inside and around the Main Stage before unlocking the final buttons. To do this, leave the Starting area and look for the lone button pictured below.

Step onto this button and then continue to step on the other buttons that appear around it, making sure to purchase the yellow ones first.

Once you've purchased the final button in the Merch area, it's time to head up the path and continue toward the next mini area—the Food Court.

After building the entirety of the foodcourt, head toward the grassy area at the back of its platform and look for the button labeled Camping Path—this is the first button that leads to the next mini area.

Step onto this button and follow the dirt path it creates, stepping on all of the new buttons you pass along the way. Eventually, you should reach a small campsite. Purchase all of the buttons at this mini area to move on to the next.

After completing the first campsite, you will be led to another mini area—the Party RV. To complete this area, step on all the buttons located both outside and inside of the RV. Keep in mind that there are three floors inside the RV, so you'll need a hefty stack of cash to finish it!

Once finished, leave the RV and walk across the path to begin building the second campsite.

With this campsite finished, we can continue down the path toward the third one. Be sure to purchase the yellow button before building the campsite—we want as much passive income as possible!

After finishing the third campsite, you can finally begin building the Main Stage. To enter the Main Stage area, build the arch and bridge that lead to the large grassy platform near the volcano.

Walk across this bridge and step on every button surrounding the grassy area.

Once these buttons have been pushed, you can begin building the stage itself.

Similar to the starting area, the final piece of the main stage is the DJ booth and DJ NPC.

As soon as the DJ NPC is unlocked, a dance minigame will appear on the stage.

To unlock the Neon Gas Mask, players must receive a 10x combo by stepping onto either of the dance platforms and perfectly timing a handful of clicks. As the music plays, a three-second timer will count down in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen and then show the word TAP—click on this word as soon as it appears to boost your combo meter. If you miss a click, your combo meter will be reset, so be sure to pay attention and follow the beat! After clicking correctly, you will unlock the Neon Gas Mask badge and item after only a minute or so.

Sword Pack

To earn the Sword Pack, players must purchase and unlock the DJ booth and DJ NPC located in the Beach area of the map. Similar to the previous areas, players must purchase all of the buttons inside and around the Beach before unlocking the final buttons. To do this, walk to the left of the Main Stage and look for the lone button pictured below.

After purchasing this button, walk along the path that leads away from the Main Stage and purchase all the other buttons you pass. Eventually, you should reach a button that creates the Private Artists Only tent.

Continue purchasing all of the buttons in this area to build the tent's foundation.

Once you've finished the Lounge, leave the tent and purchase the button pictured below. Upon doing so, you will be directed to walk along the new road you created and move toward the next area.

With the foundation and outside walls built, it's time to work on the inside. To finish Club Mooshu, we need to fully build and furnish the Mixing Room...

Once all of the rooms inside Club Mooshu have been finished, we can leave the building and finally head toward the Beach area!

Because the Beach Stage is the final structure, all its buttons are expensive. We'd suggest going AFK for a few minutes to collect as much passive income as possible. After around 15 minutes of inactivity, we could rack up over one million dollars.

Once you have enough cash, head back to the stage and get building. To unlock the Sword Pack, we need to purchase both the DJ Booth and DJ NPC and earn a total of $500,000 while playing the dancing minigame. To do this, we stepped into the $700 per tap side and danced for exactly two minutes and 30 seconds without missing a tap.

After this short time, we earned the Sword Pack item and badge.

Security Guard Shoulder Buddy

The Security Guard Shoulder Buddy was only available for a limited time and could be obtained by finding and speaking with four hidden NPCs. Two of these NPCs were located on the beach, while the other two were found on faraway islands. The video below from Conor3D showcases how this item was obtained.

Party Captain

Before you can begin the quest that unlocks the Party Captain item, you'll need to have the entirety of the party yacht built, which is the last part of your tycoon. Constructing the yacht takes a whole lot of time, money, and dedication, so be warned before you attempt it! Once you have it built, the engine parts will begin to spawn; after collecting all five of them, you will unlock the Party Captain item. For a look at each piece's location, check out the video from Conor3D below.

Bass Boss and King of the Party

Both the Bass Boss and King of the Party items are unlocked the same way—by purchasing buttons! If you're at the beginning of your tycoon, completing this task will be pretty easy, if you're a bit of the way into your tycoon, however, you'll need to grind quite a bit!

What is a tycoon?

For those unfamiliar with tycoon-style experiences, we'll catch you up. These experiences revolve around earning money and doing so as fast as possible; the more you earn, the more items and NPCs you can purchase. As you expand your festival by building areas and hiring NPCs, you will earn more money which you can then use to expand your festival even more and so on and so on.

End

That's it for our guide on how to unlock all of the free items inside of Festival Tycoon. Be sure to tune into The Chainsmokers' concert that's taking place inside The Chainsmokers Concert Experience at 6pm CT on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, to earn even more free items!
