Welcome, Engineer!
This is the easiest Mission: Mars item to obtain, as it's unlocked by simply joining the experience. As soon as you spawn in, you should automatically receive the Welcome, Engineer! badge and item.
Mission Manifested
After closing the tutorial menu, a mission will automatically be assigned to you and appear in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. To unlock the Mission Manifested badge and item, we need to first abandon our current mission by pressing the Leave button, and then select a new one by interacting with the Mission Board.
The order in which you complete the missions doesn't matter, so you can choose whichever you want to do first. We chose the Ramp Rescue mission, but that doesn't mean you have to!
As soon as you select and confirm the mission, you should unlock the Mission Manifested badge and item.

Airlock Adventurer
Now that you've chosen your mission, it's time to venture out of the station! Move away from the Mission Board and look for the large Airlocks sign pictured below. Walking through the doors underneath this sign will take you to the Airlock Distribution Center.
Enter one of these Airlocks and press E to leave the station and travel to your mission destination. You'll also earn the Airlock Adventurer badge and item in the process.
Time to Engineer
Once you've made it to the mission base, look for the Crafting Editor pictured below and interact with it.
Upon opening the crafting menu, you will unlock the Time to Engineer badge and item.
Ramp Runner
When you're ready to start your mission, select the Deploy button from the crafting menu to leave the base. Once outside the base, enter your rover and drive forward along the path in front of you. To earn the Ramp Runner badge and item, you can either complete the mission's objective as intended, or simply drive around until you run out of battery/oxygen—either one will mark the mission as finished.
If you choose to complete the objective, continue driving forward until you find the ramps pictured below.
Using both your rover's boost and jump features, launch yourself up any of these ramps to cross the ravine and land on the other side. As soon as you do, you will complete the mission and receive your score rating.

Ice Job!
Similar to the Ramp Runner mission, the Ice Job! mission can be finished by either completing the objective, or driving your rover around until you run out of battery/oxygen. To begin this mission, follow the steps above to select it from the mission board, travel to the base using the Airlock, and then deploy your rover. If you choose to complete the objective, enter your rover and drive forward until you see the small, greenish-yellow base pictured below.
Approach this base and keep an eye out for the large boxes in front of it. To complete the objective, exit your rover, walk up to one of these boxes, and press E. Doing so will deposit your ice sample and unlock the Ice Job! badge and item.
Instrument Investigator
To complete this mission, just like the first two, players can either take on the objective or drive around until they run out of oxygen or gas. If you're aiming to complete the objective, you'll need to edit your rover first—adding on the camera gear from the Crafting Editor.
With the camera equipped, deploy your rover and follow the snowy trail toward the green beam in the sky.
Upon approaching the location of the beam, you'll have the ability to take a picture by pressing E. Once you've taken the picture, you will unlock the Instrument Investigator badge and item.
