Augments are essential to becoming more powerful in Fire Force Online. While you may be decent in combat, these can greatly enhance your default abilities into something much more powerful. What are Augments in Fire Force Online?
Augments in Fire Force Online are basically enchantments to your abilities. They are not standalone abilities; however, they can make your combat moves more powerful by providing unique buffs and effects with each hit. There are currently nine different Augments in the game, and each one is represented by the different color aura that will surround your character as you perform combat moves. Here's a look at all the Augments you can currently get:
- Probability: Get all augments in one with random chance triggers
- Poison: Leaves a poison AoE that inflicts damage over time and can stack (neon green)
- Energy Syphon: Absorbs opponent's energy for yourself (lime green)
- Explosive Detonation: Places ticking timebomb on the opponent, which detonates 2 seconds later, affecting the target and anywhere nearby (orange)
- Frost: Slows enemies with freeze, restricting movements for a short period (light blue/white)
- Reverse: Pulls opponents towards you (clear white)
- Thunder: Shocks opponents, leaving them stunned for a brief period (yellow)
- Azure Flame: Inflicts fire damage over time on the opponent (blue)
- Life Stealers: Restores your health slightly with each successful hit (red)

Where to get Augments in Fire Force Online
All Augments are currently collectible from chests around Fire Force Online, but with a 0.1% chance of obtaining them, you're unlikely to ever see one. This makes it a bit difficult to get Augments, especially if you're looking for one in particular. However, there are a few methods to grind in order to collect these chests:
- Winning a Ranked Match
- Beating the Sho Kusakabe Boss
- Winning Global Events - Turf Wars and Payloads
How to play Ranked in Fire Force Online
To join a Ranked match, choose the Rank Arena option on the main menu. This will load you into the Ranked server, where you can play 1v1 or 2v2 against other players of similar ranks to you. You will begin at Bronze I and progress with each match you win. Winning matches will also give you a chest that can contain an Augment.
How to fight Sho Kusakabe Boss in Fire Force Online
From the desert location, you'll find an opening in the cliffside, allowing you to enter the Sewers. Follow the red markings on the walls to reach a ladder and climb up. You'll enter Sho's lair and can fight him there for a chance of a chest drop.
How to Compete in Turf Wars and Payloads in Fire Force Online
Turf Wars and Payloads are both Global Events that can happen in the world that pit two factions against each other in unique game modes. The mode will have players from each faction competing to complete different tasks, and whoever does it successfully will earn a reward, which could be a chest containing an Augment. However, to compete in these events, you must be part of a faction first. For Turf Wars, you'll want to be in White Clads or Fire Forces.
Although you may not get an Augment every time you open one of these chests, these are the only ways you can currently get one. You might have to grind the methods above multiple times to get lucky and get the one you really want. Stay hopeful and keep trying till you get one!
