Pet Simulator 99, successor to the extremely popular Pet Simulator X, allows players to unlock and collect hundreds of adorable and unique pets, and then use said pets to farm for a variety of in game currencies and items, including Coins, Diamonds, Potions, Enchantments, and more. Scattered around the Pet Simulator 99 map are also various minigames, most of which have their own in-game items that can be purchased or unlocked, such as the highly-coveted Golden Shovel item.
How to unlock the Golden Shovel in Pet Simulator 99
Despite what you may have expected, the Golden Shovel is not unlocked by playing the Digsite minigame, at least, not at the moment. At the time of this article's publication, the Golden Shovel can only be obtained through earning randomized minigame loot for the following Pet Simulator 99 minigames:
- Classic Obby
- Jungle Obby
- Atlantis
- Pyramid Obby
- Ice Obby
Each time you complete one of these minigames, there's a very small chance you'll unlock the Golden Shovel.
After playing the Digsite minigame enough to earn 500,000 minigame coins, you may receive a pop up that claims you've unlocked the ability to purchase the Golden Shovel—though, at the time of this article's publication, this seems to be a strange miscommunication. As far as I, and many others on the internet, can tell, there isn't a place to actually purchase the Golden Shovel. Some have said that this shovel has a chance of being sold by the Advanced Merchant, but I have yet to see it appear myself, or see anyone else have proof of this occurring.
How to equip and use the Golden Shovel in Pet Simulator 99
Again, as far as I can tell, there isn't currently a way to equip this shovel to your avatar and use it in the Digsite minigame (where it's assumed to be usable). I expect this will change in a future update, and that the shovel was simply added to the experience early without a current use.
