How to get more characters in Roblox All Star Tower Defense?

The main objective of All Star Tower Defense is to, as the name implies, defend your tower using an all-star lineup of characters from various animes and mangas. In doing so, there comes a point where you may need better-suited characters for a certain level or objective—so, how do you get more? In the brief guide below, we'll be answering this question by walking you through the process of character summoning and explaining what it means, how to do it, and what it costs.

What are Summons?

Similar to the way that packs work in the non-Roblox game Apex Legends, characters can be summoned in ASTD in the form of an RNG system. Players can use currency that they've earned in-game, or purchased with Robux, to acquire Summons, which give them access to new characters at random. The list below contains all of the current summon prices.

• Banner X characters:
  • 1 Summon = 50 Gems
  • 10 Summons = 450 Gems
• Banner Y characters:
  • 1 Summon = 50 Gems
  • 10 Summons = 450 Gems
• Banner Z characters:
  • 1 Summon = 50 Emeralds
  • 10 Summons = 450 Emeralds
• Banner G characters:
  • 1 Summon = 150 Gold
  • 10 Summons = 1,100 Gold

Each character falls under a Banner or category, depending on their rarity. The characters available in each Banner change every hour, so if you aren't interested in any of the characters at the moment, you can always come back later! Keep in mind, however, that Banner Z is locked for the average player, and can only be unlocked once you become level 100 and have reached World 2.

How to summon?

To begin summoning characters, you'll need to enter the Hero Summon area. To do this quickly, look for the blue star icon on the left side of your screen and click it—it should say Summon underneath. Clicking this icon will teleport you to the Hero Summon area and open the Summon Menu automatically.

From this menu, select the Banner you'd like to purchase Summons for—there's no penalty for clicking through each one before purchasing, so take your time and pick the one you think has the best character options. When you're ready, choose how many Summons you'd like to purchase for your selected Banner and confirm—the Summon animation should begin automatically!

Once the animation has finished, click anywhere on the screen to close it. Your newly acquired character can now be found in your inventory!

How to trade?

If grinding for Gems and Emeralds, or spending a few hundred Robux on the shortcut, doesn't sound like your idea of fun, that's ok! There's also the ability to trade in ASTD, which means that you can expand your character library for free, so long as you can find someone willing to trade with you!
