To get Sound Breathing in Slayers 2, reach Level 25, collect 4,000 Wen, 10 Demon Horns, and 3 Beast Cores, and find Sound Trainer Tengai on a high ledge in Iceveil Valley. After meeting the requirements, complete six tasks: Push Ups, Barbell Squats, Boulder Split, Cup Training, Underwater Rocks, and defeat the Sound Trainee Mini Boss to unlock this style.
Sound Breathing is one of the more powerful Breathing Styles you can unlock in Slayers 2, but getting it requires you to travel through the snowy Iceveil Valley to find Sound Trainer Tengai and complete all the training tasks. So, if you want to unlock it, here’s a complete guide on how to get Sound Breathing in Slayers 2 and all of its details.
Where to Find the Sound Breathing Trainer in Slayers 2?

To reach Tengai, start from the main route near Mother Bear and continue toward Windy Peak. From there, follow the path toward the snowy region and enter Iceveil Valley through the gate.
Once you enter the snow-covered area, you will start taking cold damage. So, use the campfires along the route to recover your HP before continuing. Keep following the snowy path until you reach the area around Tengai World Boss and the Sound Trainee Mini Boss.
Once you reach the Sound Trainee's Boss area, go past him, jump down into the water below the ledge, and swim toward the cliff wall. Then, go to the other side and use Wall Climb to scale the cliff face. Then, continue climbing until you reach the upper platform, where Sound Trainer Tengai will be waiting.
NOTE: Everburn Lantern can help you deal with the cold damage, as it provides Cold immunity. If you have the lantern, charge it while standing in front of a campfire, and you will be good to go. For 1 charge, you can get up to 10 minutes of Cold immunity.
How To Unlock Sound Breathing in Slayers 2?

Before you start the Sound Breathing training, you need to meet the required level and material costs. Below, we’ve provided a table listing all the requirements for the Sound Breathing Style.
| Requirement | Amount | How to Get |
|---|---|---|
| Level | 25 | Complete quests and defeat enemies to gain EXP |
| Wen | 4,000 | Complete NPC quests by defeating enemies and bosses |
| Demon Horns | 10 | Farm Hoyuzo Subordinates (30% Drop Chance for 1 Demon Horn) or the Hoyuzo Boss (50% Drop Chance for 3 Demon Horns) |
| Beast Cores | 3 | Farm Beast Born Demons (50% Drop Chance) |
It is recommended that you farm the 150 Demon Horns and 13,000 Wen before travelling to Iceveil Valley. The journey through the snowy region can be lengthy, and you don’t want to reach Tengai only to find that you are short on materials. So, gather everything beforehand, as it will save you from having to make the cold-damage journey multiple times.
NOTE: You should also unlock Wall Climb before making the trip because in order to reach Tengai you need to climb the cliff from the water.
How to Complete All the Sound Breathing Training Tasks?
Once you meet all the requirements and interact with Sound Trainer Tengai, you can begin the Sound Breathing training questline. You need to complete six training tasks before the style becomes available. Below, we’ve listed all six training tasks for Sound Breathing and how to complete them.
Push Ups
The first task is Push Ups. During the challenge, follow the button prompts and press the required input at the correct time. Pay attention to the timing indicator instead of repeatedly pressing buttons, or else you will lose progress. Once you finish the Push Ups challenge, return to the active quest route for the next task
Barbell Squats
For the next challenge, you need to perform Barbell Squats until you reach the 100% threshold. In this challenge, you must align your input with the vertically moving bar. Keeping the input within the bar counts toward progress. Once you complete this task, you can proceed to the next one.
Boulder Split
The third Sound Breathing training task is Boulder Split. For this mini-game, follow the displayed prompts on your screen and keep your input aligned with the required movement. Continue completing the sequence until you successfully split the boulder. Once you complete the task, you can proceed to the next training task.
Cup Training
The Cup Training challenge is a memory-based mini-game where a ball is hidden beneath one of three cups before they begin shuffling. Your objective is to track the cup containing the ball and select it correctly once the cups stop moving.
You have to complete the challenge by selecting the right cup 10 times. However, you have three lives, and choosing the wrong cup costs you one life. Once you complete the Cup Training task, you can move on to the next training task.
Underwater Rocks
The Underwater Rocks task requires you to find 5 glowy rocks scattered around the lake in Bamboo Grove. These rocks can spawn anywhere in the lake, but are easy to identify as they glow blue.
However, you need to manage your oxygen level underwater, as it can become a problem if you swim underwater for too long. Once you complete this Training task, you can move on to the next and final training task.
Defeat the Sound Trainee Boss
The final Sound Breathing training task is to defeat the Sound Trainee Mini Boss. Before starting the battle, make sure your character has enough HP and healing items, especially when fighting the boss and dealing with the cold effect in Iceveil Valley.
During the fight, pay attention to the boss's attack patterns and wait for openings between attacks. Do not simply trade hits with the trainee, as taking unnecessary damage while your HP is draining away due to the cold effect can make you vulnerable.
Once you defeat the Sound Trainee, you will complete the final training objective and unlock Sound Breathing. You can then open the Skill Tree and spend your available Skill Points to unlock the Sound Breathing skills.
