How to get the Katana in Roblox Da Hood

Using weapons to defend yourself and your home is a major part of what makes Da Hood and its nitty-gritty play style so intriguing to so many players. From machine guns to grenade launchers, baseball bats to pocket knives, and even flamethrowers to katanas, the armory available for players to collect is massive. Of this wide variety of artillery, the Katana is one that's sought after the most. So, what happened to it? Is the Katana still available?

Unfortunately, at the time of this article's publication, there is no way to obtain the Katana in Da Hood. This weapon was only available for a limited time and was fully removed in January of 2022. Added with the 2021 Christmas and New Year's update, the Katana could originally be unlocked throughout Dec. 2021.

How did people unlock the Katana when it was in Da Hood?

During the 2021 Christmas event, players who wanted to collect the Katana needed to find Santa's sleigh, enter it, and ride it to the tallest hill in Da Hood. Atop this hill was a large Christmas tree with various presents underneath, one of which contained the free Katana. To claim this free weapon, players needed to simply approach the present labeled Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2022 and select it. Doing so would automatically add the weapon to their inventory.

Will the Katana ever come back?

While it isn't likely that the Katana will return to Da Hood anytime soon, there is a chance that it could be re-added in the fall or winter of 2022 as another holiday exclusive weapon. Developers often take notice when players create a following around a certain in-game item, weapon, or character, so it's possible that we'll see the Katana again in the future.
