If you're struggling to get a win, check out this Jump Stars beginner's guide so that you can know more about the game and dominate the competition with your favorite anime characters (Ichigo is my overall pick, and he's got some awesome skins).
How to Get More Tokens

Tokens are an in-game currency earned by progressing mastery, trophies, the Starpass (the battlepass for Jump Stars), or pulling duplicate skins. They are used to get specific characters from the Tokens menu.
- Open your menu and select 'Progress'.
- Then, select 'Tokens' and you can see all the characters available.
Keep in mind that you need to get the characters in order. You cannot buy random units without getting the previous ones. Since tokens aren't used for anything else, this is a good way to get units without having to wait for summons.
Best Characters in Jump Stars

Since Jump Stars is a character-based game, you need to have the best characters to defeat enemies. If you rely on lower-tier characters, you won't have a high success rate since the meta characters are extremely strong. Here are some of the strongest characters you can put in your team in Jump Stars:
- Goju
- Mob
- Dracula
- Ichin
- Sosuke
- Zoru
All characters mentioned have high damage and can provide tons of benefits to their teams. Regardless of the mode, they are useful to have in your team due to their effective abilities. However, certain characters are good for specific game modes.
The best example is Luffo. He is a decent character, but in the 'Capture the Point' game mode, he is extremely useful due to his ultimate, which can damage multiple opponents. Plus, 'good' characters not only have high base stats, they also have strong abilities and powerful gear that synergize well with their kit.
How to Get More Characters

You start off with three characters in Jump Stars: Vegita, Goko, and Naroto. While you can keep using these characters to progress, it's better to try and get better units. The game features a gacha system (Summon) where you can use gems to pull for specific character banners. Banners are reset every 15 minutes, and you can see all the rarities by pressing Rates.
You can wait it out if the character banner isn't what you're looking for. However, this can be a bit troublesome as well since you have to hurry to get that character. To summon 1 unit, you need to use 50 gems. To get 10 pulls, you have to use 500 gems.
Luckily, getting gems is quite easy just by playing the game. Every round you win/lose, you'll get gems. Plus, you can complete quests, the Starpass, other progression systems, and redeem Jump Stars codes to get tons of gems (along with buying them via Robux).
How to Get Mastery

Mastery is a good way to get rewards by playing your favorite characters. After gaining points, you'll get various rewards like gold, XP, tokens, emotes, character-specific titles, and unique skins. This way you show other players that you're an expert with a specific character by using their full mastery outfit. Plus, all the rewards are useful for upgrading your units or summoning new ones.
To get mastery points, you have to keep playing the game and try out different game modes. Continue using the same character to gain more points. If you win the game or get a good position in certain game modes like the Battle Royale, you will gain more mastery points. While it can take time to progress, keep playing your favorite character, and the rewards will be worth it.
Usually, all the rewards are similar when progressing mastery, but higher-tier characters will give you more rewards, like more gold, XP, tokens, and more.
How to Get Skins

Getting cosmetics is a good way to customize your character and showcase your favorite skins. Thankfully, there are multiple skins for every character in Jump Stars so that you can change the costume of your favorite character. From meme skins to manga canon skins and crossovers, the game has it all.
To get cosmetics in Jump Stars, you can head to the store and check out all the featured skins. Featured skins are reset after almost a day, and you can find new skins. If you find a good outfit, make sure to get it because who knows when it will come back in the store.
These can be bought using gems that you can either purchase via Robux or earn by playing the game. Alternatively, you can get more skins by completing the mastery of a specific character. Usually, these skins are from the manga/anime or an iconic skin (like the Xeno Goku skin from Dragon Ball Heroes).
If you get the Starpass, you can get bonus emotes and skins for completing it. You can get it for 799 Robux, and you'll get tons of rewards ranging from outfits, tokens, gold, experience points, emotes, and more.
