Best Evomon Traits Tier List

Roblox Evomon Traits are passive bonuses you can roll on your monsters. Some of these passive buffs are insanely powerful, and many can completely change how a monster performs in combat. This is especially important in a turn-based game where you usually only have one or two actions per turn. In practice, many Traits function like a permanent free extra action, often with more impact than the actual move you choose that turn.

That’s why, when evaluating the best Traits in Evomon, you should look at how much impact they can have over the course of a match. Evomon’s combat is designed in a way where every point of damage matters, and in my Roblox Evomon Trait Tier List, that is the main factor I focus on, both offensively and defensively. Without further ado, here’s the tier list:

Evomon Traits tier list with rarity, drop chance, effect, compatible Evomon, and evaluation.
TraitEvaluation
S S Tier — Best Traits
Charge Evomon Trait
Charge S Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: On its first switch-in, deals 2× damage.

Evomon: Arcapex, Arcub

  • One of the strongest opening effects in the game; Arcapex can remove a target before it settles in.
  • The boost is spent after the first entry, so bringing it in at the wrong time wastes most of the Trait.
Primeform Evomon Trait
Primeform S Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: Takes 60% less damage while at full HP. Terragon Exclusive.

Evomon: Terragon, Tarro

  • Usually guarantees Terragon a safe first turn and makes it extremely difficult to burst from full HP.
  • Any chip damage turns the reduction off, so weather and damage-over-time effects are the cleanest counters.
Emberbirth Evomon Trait
Emberbirth S Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: Life steals 100% of Burn damage dealt to foes. Lavarock Exclusive.

Evomon: Lavarock, Lavite

  • Burn-focused Lavarock builds recover huge chunks of HP while maintaining offensive pressure.
  • It needs Burn to be active, but Lavarock already wants to play around that status in most serious builds.
Drain Evomon Trait
Drain S Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: Gains 18% lifesteal. Volcrest Exclusive.

Evomon: Bluebird, Volcrest

  • Volcrest gets reliable sustain from every damaging turn without spending a move or meeting a condition.
  • The healing is not enough to stop a clean one-shot, but it is excellent across longer fights.
BattleSpirit Evomon Trait
BattleSpirit S Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: On its first switch-in, raises ATK and SPA by 3 stages. Astraknight Exclusive.

Evomon: Astraknight

  • A free +3 to both attacking stats makes Astraknight dangerous the moment it enters battle.
  • It only triggers on the first switch-in, so an early forced entry can reduce its impact.
Purify Evomon Trait
Purify S Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: Cleanses 1 random debuff from itself at the end of each turn.

Evomon: Emfox, Empixy, Sparkit

  • One of the safest anti-status Traits because it keeps clearing debuffs without costing a turn.
  • The cleanse is random, so stacked debuffs can make it remove the least important one first.
Evolve Evomon Trait
Evolve S Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: Applying Poison simultaneously inflicts 2 stacks of PsyMark. Wisphex Exclusive.

Evomon: Wispex, Wispshade, Wispuff

  • Creates Poison and PsyMark pressure with the same action, which makes the Wisp line snowball quickly.
  • It is locked to a specific status build, but the payoff is strong enough to build around.
A A Tier — Excellent Traits
Pursuit Evomon Trait
Pursuit A Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: Damage is increased by 18%.

Evomon: Graycrene, Sundercrene

  • A flat 18% damage increase is active on every attack and never asks for setup or a specific matchup.
  • It is less explosive than the S-tier openers, but it is one of the most dependable offensive Traits.
TrueDmg Evomon Trait
TrueDmg A Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: Ignores the target’s DEF and SpD stat stages. Pummash Exclusive.

Evomon: Pummash, Pummpaw

  • Punishes defensive setup and keeps Pummash threatening even after the opponent stacks DEF or SpD.
  • It adds nothing against targets that are not using defensive stat boosts.
UltGuard Evomon Trait
UltGuard A Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: The first time an ultimate skill hits it, damage taken is reduced by 50%.

Evomon: Pebble, Pebgolem, Pebroll

  • Cutting the first Ultimate in half is excellent against boss bursts and predictable PvP finishers.
  • It is a one-use shield and can be baited by a weaker Ultimate before the real threat arrives.
Blind Evomon Trait
Blind A Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: When inflicting Psy Marks, also inflicts 1 additional stack. Datunymph Exclusive.

Evomon: Datunymph, Starloop, Starmuse, Datubud

  • Doubles PsyMark stacking speed and lets Datunymph reach meaningful pressure much sooner.
  • It is effectively blank if the moveset is not built around applying Psy Marks.
Leech Evomon Trait
Leech A Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: Life steals 66% of Poison damage dealt to foes. Chitaladin Exclusive.

Evomon: Chitaladin, Chitgladi, Chitmite

  • Turns Chitaladin’s Poison pressure into steady healing and makes it much harder to wear down.
  • Cleanse, Poison resistance, or a target that falls too quickly all reduce the healing value.
Chillwind Evomon Trait
Chillwind A Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: When inflicting Frostbite, also inflicts 1 additional stack. Frostseer Exclusive.

Evomon: Frostlet, Frostseer

  • Frostseer stacks Frostbite twice as quickly, which is immediately noticeable in longer fights.
  • It needs consistent Frostbite application and provides no fallback benefit when that plan is shut down.
Infect Evomon Trait
Infect A Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: When inflicting Poison, also inflicts 1 additional stack.

Evomon: Viparch, Vipip, Vipour

  • Accelerates Poison damage on an already strong Evomon line and pressures bulky targets very well.
  • It loses most of its value against cleansing or Poison-resistant opponents.
Sandgale Evomon Trait
Sandgale A Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: During Sandstorm, Ground-type and Rock-type skills gain +40 power. Fluffastar Exclusive.

Evomon: Fluffastar, Fluffet

  • +40 power is a major damage jump for Fluffastar once Sandstorm is active.
  • It needs weather support, so the Trait is much weaker when Sandstorm cannot be maintained.
Regen Evomon Trait
Regen A Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: Heals 15% of max HP at the end of each turn while under 50% HP.

Evomon: Florawn, Budling, Silvanarch

  • Excellent comeback sustain on bulky builds and can repeatedly pull an Evomon out of KO range.
  • A strong burst from above 50% HP can skip the healing window entirely.
OpenSupport Evomon Trait
OpenSupport A Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: Status skills have +1 priority.

Evomon: Frostelle, Stardrift

  • Priority status moves can steal tempo from faster Evomon and make support turns much safer.
  • It contributes nothing when the build is mostly direct attacks, so the moveset has to justify it.
Dread Evomon Trait
Dread A Tier
Rare 2.7% drop chance

Effect: On switch-in, lowers all foes’ SPA by 2 stages.

Evomon: ALL

  • A free two-stage SPA drop can immediately blunt special attackers and create a safe switch.
  • Physical teams largely ignore it, so its value changes sharply with the matchup.
Awe Evomon Trait
Awe A Tier
Rare 2.7% drop chance

Effect: On its first switch-in, lowers all foes’ ATK by 2 stages.

Evomon: ALL

  • Excellent into physical openers and often buys a defensive Evomon an extra turn.
  • The one-time trigger makes timing important, and special attackers are unaffected.
Toughskin Evomon Trait
Toughskin A Tier
Rare 2.7% drop chance

Effect: Damage reduction 12%.

Evomon: ALL

  • Always-on damage reduction is simple, consistent, and useful on almost any bulky Evomon.
  • It does not create offensive tempo, but there are very few battles where it is completely useless.
Reaper Evomon Trait
Reaper A Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: After defeating a target, raises its ATK and SPA by 5 stages.

Evomon: Leafblade, Leafroge, Leafbun

  • One KO creates an enormous +5/+5 snowball, especially in multi-Evomon and farming battles.
  • The Leaf line can struggle to secure that first KO, so the ceiling is much higher than the consistency.
FlameFiend Evomon Trait
FlameFiend A Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: On switch-in, changes the weather to Volcanic Eruption for 5 turns.

Evomon: Blazmane, Blazgrowl, Blazpup

  • Starts the Volcanic Eruption plan immediately without spending a turn on weather setup.
  • It is team-dependent and can overwrite weather that another member needed.
B B Tier — Strong but Situational
Raincall Evomon Trait
Raincall B Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: On its first switch-in, changes the weather to Rain for 5 turns.

Evomon: Clampip, Clamspire, Clamwhirl

  • Sets Rain for free and immediately enables Water and Rain-based Trait combinations.
  • The Clam line is weak in the current meta, so the team often pays a real cost for the weather slot.
Rainveil Evomon Trait
Rainveil B Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: During Rain, Water-type skills gain +40 power.

Evomon: Bubblade, Bubble, Bubboxer

  • A 40-power increase is a serious damage boost once Rain is active.
  • It needs a separate Rain setup and is attached to a Water line that can struggle outside the combo.
Claws Evomon Trait
Claws B Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: When inflicting Bleed, inflicts 1 additional stack.

Evomon: Chirphantom, Chirplume, Chirppy

  • Double Bleed stacks can shred high-HP targets faster than they expect.
  • The Chirphantom line and its reliance on Bleed keep the Trait from being consistently top tier.
Perpetual Evomon Trait
Perpetual B Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: Upon defeating a target, restores 2 PP to all of its skills.

Evomon: Tinkog, Tinkore

  • Very useful in long PvE sessions because KOs keep the entire moveset from running dry.
  • It has little impact in short fights or single-target boss battles where PP is not the main problem.
Adept Evomon Trait
Adept B Tier
Rare 2.7% drop chance

Effect: Unaffected by weather.

Evomon: ALL

  • A clean answer to weather damage and other weather-based disruption.
  • It is completely inactive when neither side is using weather.
SkyFire Evomon Trait
SkyFire B Tier
Rare 2.7% drop chance

Effect: Below 50% HP, Fire-type skills gain +25% power.

Evomon: ALL

  • The 25% Fire boost can turn a damaged attacker into a strong late-fight cleaner.
  • Falling below half HP is risky, and the Evomon can be removed before it gets to use the boost.
Foresight Evomon Trait
Foresight B Tier
Rare 2.7% drop chance

Effect: Gains +12% Crit.

Evomon: ALL

  • The extra Crit chance applies to every attack and can steal KOs that normal damage misses.
  • It is still chance-based, so it is less reliable than a flat damage increase.
Abyss Evomon Trait
Abyss B Tier
Rare 2.7% drop chance

Effect: Below 50% HP, Water-type skills gain +25% power.

Evomon: ALL

  • Provides a meaningful Water damage spike once the user is under half HP.
  • The threshold is dangerous and does nothing for mixed or non-Water movesets.
Renew Evomon Trait
Renew B Tier
Rare 2.7% drop chance

Effect: Below 50% HP, Grass-type skills gain +25% power.

Evomon: ALL

  • Works well on Grass attackers that already have enough bulk to survive below 50% HP.
  • Fast opponents can finish the Evomon before the damage boost gets a turn to matter.
Thorns Evomon Trait
Thorns B Tier
Rare 2.7% drop chance

Effect: When hit, reflects 12% of the damage taken.

Evomon: ALL

  • Reliable chip damage on tanks and a good way to punish opponents that attack repeatedly.
  • Twelve percent is rarely enough to swing a fast battle by itself.
VitalGuard Evomon Trait
VitalGuard B Tier
Rare 2.7% drop chance

Effect: Sturdy — cannot be hit critically.

Evomon: ALL

  • Removes critical-hit variance and makes defensive calculations much more dependable.
  • It has no effect against builds that are not leaning on Crits.
SandFiend Evomon Trait
SandFiend B Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: On its first switch-in, changes the weather to Sandstorm for 5 turns.

Evomon: Spikub, Spikumane

  • Provides immediate Sandstorm for Sandgale and other Ground or Rock game plans.
  • The first-switch-only trigger and team-building requirement make it less flexible than a standalone damage Trait.
SnowFiend Evomon Trait
SnowFiend B Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: On its first switch-in, changes the weather to Snow for 5 turns.

Evomon: Glacitadel, Glaclide, Glacone

  • Gets Snow running without using a skill and gives Ice-focused teams their setup turn back.
  • The current Glacone line needs strong teammates to turn that weather into enough pressure.
Unseen Evomon Trait
Unseen B Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: When attacking a target with stat boosts, steals 2 random stat stages.

Evomon: Gempillar, Gempress

  • Excellent into setup users because it turns two of their boosted stages into your own advantage.
  • It is blank against unboosted targets, and the random stolen stats are not always useful.
Blight Evomon Trait
Blight B Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: Transfers negative stat stages from foes to their replacement on switch.

Evomon: Flutterby, Humding, Twirlby

  • Stops opponents from clearing stat drops simply by switching and can keep PvP pressure rolling.
  • Bosses and PvE enemies rarely switch, so a large part of the Trait’s value is mode-specific.
Sear Evomon Trait
Sear B Tier
Normal 6.5% drop chance

Effect: 33% chance on hit to inflict 1 stack of Burn.

Evomon: ALL

  • A one-in-three Burn chance adds real pressure over repeated or multi-hit attacks.
  • It is unreliable when the battle plan needs Burn to land on the first attempt.
Toxin Evomon Trait
Toxin B Tier
Normal 6.5% drop chance

Effect: 33% chance on hit to inflict 1 stack of Poison.

Evomon: ALL

  • Good general-purpose chip on fast attackers and a solid budget alternative to Poison-focused Legendary Traits.
  • The proc is not guaranteed and Poison counters can make it feel like a wasted slot.
Frost Evomon Trait
Frost B Tier
Normal 6.5% drop chance

Effect: 25% chance on hit to inflict 1 stack of Frostbite.

Evomon: ALL

  • Frostbite adds useful pressure without spending a dedicated status turn.
  • The 25% trigger rate is noticeably less consistent than Sear or Toxin.
C C Tier — Niche Traits
Soulshock Evomon Trait
Soulshock C Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: When defeated, inflicts Confusion on the attacker for 2 turns. Mopillow Exclusive.

Evomon: Mopillow, Mopebun

  • Can punish the attacker after Mopillow falls and occasionally creates a comeback opening.
  • It requires losing an Evomon first, and Confusion does not always convert into a meaningful advantage.
PartingGift Evomon Trait
PartingGift C Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: When defeated, restores 2 energy. Thordlord Exclusive.

Evomon: Mudthorn, Thordlord, Mudbud

  • Gives the next member a small resource refund after a planned sacrifice.
  • No value is gained until the user is defeated, and two Energy is often too small to justify that trade.
Deathrattle Evomon Trait
Deathrattle C Tier
Legendary 1.5% drop chance

Effect: Upon defeat, deals 33% of the attacker’s max HP as damage, up to 300.

Evomon: Gulpifish, Mirefish

  • Guaranteed defeat damage can finish an already weakened attacker or soften it for the next Evomon.
  • The 300 cap scales poorly into high-HP bosses, and the Trait still asks you to lose a team member.
Coldward Evomon Trait
Coldward C Tier
Normal 6.5% drop chance

Effect: When hit, has a 25% chance to inflict 1 stack of Frostbite on the attacker.

Evomon: ALL

  • Can discourage repeated attacks and occasionally gives defensive builds free Frostbite pressure.
  • The opponent controls when it can trigger, and the 25% chance is not dependable.
Inferno Evomon Trait
Inferno C Tier
Normal 6.5% drop chance

Effect: When hit, has a 33% chance to inflict 1 stack of Burn on the attacker.

Evomon: ALL

  • Useful on bulky Evomon that expect to absorb several hits and spread Burn passively.
  • It does nothing before taking damage and can be bypassed by quickly finishing the user.
Venomward Evomon Trait
Venomward C Tier
Normal 6.5% drop chance

Effect: When hit, has a 33% chance to inflict 1 stack of Poison on the attacker.

Evomon: ALL

  • Can add Poison pressure while a tank focuses on surviving rather than attacking.
  • It is reactive, chance-based, and weak against opponents that do not need to hit repeatedly.
Frenzy Evomon Trait
Frenzy C Tier
Normal 6.5% drop chance

Effect: When hit, has an 11% chance to raise ATK by 3 stages.

Evomon: ALL

  • A +3 ATK proc can completely change the fight for a physical attacker.
  • At only 11% and after taking a hit, it is too inconsistent to build a serious strategy around.
Arcane Evomon Trait
Arcane C Tier
Normal 6.5% drop chance

Effect: When hit, has an 11% chance to raise SPA by 3 stages.

Evomon: ALL

  • The +3 SPA swing is genuinely threatening when it activates on a special attacker.
  • The low trigger rate means most battles end without it doing anything.
Gale Evomon Trait
Gale C Tier
Normal 6.5% drop chance

Effect: When hit, has an 11% chance to raise SPE by 2 stages.

Evomon: ALL

  • A proc can flip the turn order and give a slower attacker a surprise second turn.
  • It activates after taking damage and only has an 11% chance, so it often arrives too late.
D D Tier — Weak or Inconsistent
StoneHeart Evomon Trait
StoneHeart D Tier
Normal 6.5% drop chance

Effect: When hit, has an 11% chance to raise DEF by 3 stages.

Evomon: ALL

  • The +3 DEF boost can make a bulky Evomon difficult to finish if it triggers early.
  • The physical hit has already landed, the chance is low, and special attackers ignore the reward.
Psywall Evomon Trait
Psywall D Tier
Normal 6.5% drop chance

Effect: When hit, has an 11% chance to raise SPD by 3 stages.

Evomon: ALL

  • It can harden a tank against special damage after a lucky early trigger.
  • The effect is reactive, very inconsistent, and completely bypassed by physical attackers.

How to Reroll a Trait on a Monster

Don’t like the current Trait on one of your Evomon? Did you see a better one in our Evomon Trait Tier List? No problem, you can always try to roll a better one. Simply open the Evomon whose Trait you want to reroll, then click on its Trait just below the stat distribution screen. You can check the image below for reference. This will open the Trait reroll screen, where you can use a Trait Reroll Potion to roll a new Trait.

The good thing is that a rerolled Trait will not immediately replace your current Trait. You have two separate slots: one for the currently equipped Trait and one for rerolling. The newly rolled Trait will only overwrite your current one if you click the REPLACE button.
