One of the most popular cops and robbers style experiences on Roblox, Mad City, has been looking to expand their game universe for over a year now with the addition of Mad City Chapter 2 that was first teased on Oct. 28, 2020. Now, on Dec. 7, 2021, the official Mad City Twitter account has posted a google survey to gather a handful of Mad City 2 testers to play through the experience before its final release. Those over the age of 13 with a flexible schedule are encouraged to apply.
Though at the time of this article's publication, there's been no official date announced as to when the Mad City Chapter 2 update will release, the rumor around Twitter is that it will hopefully arrive sometime in early 2022. With this update's track record, however, being pushed back from the original release date of Dec. 2020 to a new release date of Feb. 2021, and then being moved again to late 2021 with no start in sight, this rumor is just that. We can only hope that we'll see the release of Mad City Chapter 2 before Dec. 2022.
In the meantime, those over the age of 13 can dip their toes into this new update by becoming a Mad City beta tester. The job of a beta tester is to play through a game, or in this case, a Roblox experience, and keep an eye out for any issues including bugs, glitches, texture design flaws, etc. that cause disruptions in the story's flow, whether narratively or aesthetically, and report them to the developers accordingly. By doing this, Mad City can ensure that their experience is as ready to go as possible upon its final release.
The questions that need to be answered to apply for this position are as follows:
- What is your username?
- Are you 13 or older?
- What is your Discord tag?
- How often do you play Mad City?
- How often would you be available for scheduled testing?
- How much time would you spend testing when we do open testing?
- What platforms are you available to QA (Quality Assurance) Test on?
- Why do you want to be a tester for Chapter 2?
Upon answering these questions, the survey taker will also be asked to acknowledge that they understand that no Mad City Chapter 2 content is to be recorded or uploaded to any social media platforms. Those who do will be permanently banned from the live game and all testing outlets and will not be given a chance to appeal the ban.
No previous testing experience is needed for this position, so anyone who fits the requirements mentioned above and has a decent amount of free time is encouraged to fill out the survey and apply.
