How to Unlock Shadow and Rune Dungeons in Sailor Piece
To unlock the dungeon spawner in Sailor Piece, you need to find 6 Ancient Puzzles spread across Starter, Jungle, Desert, Snow, Shibuya, and Hueco Mundo. Once you do that, the Dungeons NPC lets you spawn either the Shadow Dungeon or the Rune Dungeon. Each run costs 1 Dungeon Key. Both Shadow Dungeon and Rune Dungeon have 15 waves and multiple difficulties: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Extreme.
Shadow Dungeon is the more important one early for Ascensions because later tiers explicitly ask for repeated clears, and its boss can also drop Atomic Core, which feeds back into Ascension V. Ascensions ask for huge totals of NPC kills, boss kills, damage dealt, and ability uses, so the most efficient route is always to grab the highest quest you can clear comfortably, burn through quest mobs with your full rotation, and then spend boss downtime farming whatever boss also drops your current Ascension material. That way, every minute advances more than one requirement.
For NPC kills specifically, your best farming spots are simply the highest quest zones available to you. The quest chain scales upward from Shibuya Station into Slime Island, and then Academy Island, and those later quests are clearly the best places to pile up kills while also getting real rewards back. How to Complete Ascension 9 and Ascension 10 in Sailor Piece
The most important thing you’ll need to do before even thinking about completing these endgame Ascensions is to find all six Hogyoku Fragment locations, so that you can complete the Hogyoku quest. This is mandatory because it unlocks access to Soul Dominion Island, which is where you’ll need to go to obtain the Evolution Fragment (1% drop chance) from the True Manipulator Boss.
The two real walls are the new side objectives. Ascension 9 adds Boss Rush, and Ascension 10 adds Infinite Tower Floor 75+ twice, which means the game is no longer checking only whether you can grind, but whether your build is actually strong enough to survive deeper endgame content. At that point, do not brute-force the climb with a half-finished build.
Make sure your accessories, traits, damage boosts, and overall setup are in a good place first, because these tiers are designed to punish weak efficiency.

The Ascensions NPC is located on Sailor Island. That is where you start the full Ascension questline and check the requirements for each Ascend tier.
Ascensions give permanent boosts to Money, Gems, Luck, and CDR. Early Ascensions give +10% Money, +10% Gems, +2% CDR, and +5% Luck per tier, while later Ascensions keep the Money, Gems, and Luck boosts but stop adding more CDR.
