Updated September 26, 2026 for V0.182: Wind now leads the Breathing tier list after major block-pressure and speed buffs, while Sound returns to A because Roar breaks guards again. Obi Manipulation joins Shockwave and Pyrokinesis in the Demon Art S tier. Tomioka becomes the strongest A-tier clan through its upgraded Water synergy, and all clan health bonuses are 50% higher. Weapon tiers stay stable, with new Water and Nightfall Serpent Katana interactions reflected below.
Looking for the best clans, Breathing Styles, Blood Demon Arts, and weapons in Slayers 2? My current overall picks are Kamado for clans, Wind for Breathing, and Shockwave for Demon Arts. Firstlight Tanto leads the Demon Slayer weapons, while Firstlight War Fans are my top Demon weapon pick. This Slayers 2 tier list brings the four metas together so you can judge a complete build before spending spins, skill points, Wen, and upgrade materials.
Slayers 2 Tier List: Best Picks TL:DR
- Best overall clan: Kamado. Rengoku, Uzui, Shinazugawa, Soyama, and Himejima complete the current S tier. V0.182 strengthens several specialist pairings, especially Tomioka with Water, but does not force another clan into S.
- Best overall Breathing Style: Wind. Higher block damage across Z, X, C, and V, faster X and C startup, a quicker long-range tornado, and reliable strict-stun confirms give it the strongest current ceiling. Flame remains the easier S-tier all-rounder.
- Best overall Blood Demon Art: Shockwave. Its strict-stun conversion and armor-breaking counter remain the safest complete package. Pyrokinesis is the S-tier burst option, while Obi joins them after its guard pressure, field damage, trap timing, and ultimate reliability all improve.
- Best weapons: Firstlight Tanto remains my best all-round Demon Slayer weapon, while Firstlight War Fans lead the Demon list. The full weapon rankings now match our dedicated guide, and V0.182 mainly changes specific pairings rather than the tier letters.
These are early V0.182 rankings. I weigh realistic damage windows, combo reliability, guard pressure, mobility, defensive tools, resource costs, and synergy across PvE and PvP. Skill cooldowns remain global and every counter shares one timer. Gear now receives the same 50% Max Health increase, including Firstlight, Nightfall, and Titan pieces, while clan health bonuses are 50% higher. First Light adds a low-health defensive window and Nightfall Hunt rewards finishing targets below 30%, so repeatable starters and second rotations matter more than an old one-burst route. Entries within a tier run strongest or broadest first.

Kamado remains my best overall clan pick, with a broad mix of control, damage conversion, sustain, and Demon utility. Shinazugawa moves ahead of Soyama within S because Wind’s new block damage and faster pressure give the specialist pairing more ways to force an opening. Uzui also improves through Sound’s restored Roar guardbreak, while Enhanced Hearing still provides its wider 25% damage mark. Musical Score keeps its longer cooldown and no longer blocks the incoming damage, so timing still matters.
Tomioka now leads A tier. Tidal Blood slows targets hit by Water skills by 20% for five seconds, while each Water’s Clarity stack adds 5% Water damage. Water itself remains A, but the complete Tomioka pairing has much stronger chase and snowball potential. Kocho also benefits from shorter Insect C and V cooldowns plus an earlier V chase, although the style’s slower entry tools keep the build below S. Iguro remains a good Serpent specialist, and both Iguro and Kocho still lose their on-death poison in Arena and Ranked.
All flat clan health bonuses are now 50% higher, and rolling or buying a new clan keeps your clan skill-tree progress. That makes experimentation less punishing, although a useful clan still beats an empty spin counter. Insect
Wind is my early best overall Breathing recommendation in V0.182, with Flame completing S tier. Wind’s Z, X, C, and V now deal 30% more block damage, X and C start another 0.05 seconds faster, and the long-range C tornado travels 25% faster. Z and V still provide the strict-stun confirms that pushed the style into S, so the new guard pressure improves an already coherent combo kit. Flame remains the simpler all-rounder with excellent burst and confirms.
Thunder leads A, followed by Water, Stone, Sound, and Serpent. Sound returns to A because Roar breaks guards again, restoring the missing payoff behind its pressure. Water stays A, but Tomioka’s stronger slow and 5% Water damage per Clarity stack make the clan pairing much more dangerous. Insect remains the only B-tier style: V begins chasing one second sooner and its V and C cooldowns fall to 18 and 16 seconds, but the slower entries and missing V invincibility still make mistakes expensive.

Tamari
Shockwave remains my early best Blood Demon Art in V0.182, with Pyrokinesis and Obi completing S tier. Shockwave still has the safest mix of strict-stun conversion, steerable pressure, an armor-breaking counter, and flexible slam variants. Pyrokinesis now leaves 0.2 seconds sooner after Blood Tiles and Blood Rupture dashes 20% faster and farther. Obi earns the promotion because Z, X, and C attack guard much harder, V traps activate faster and deal more damage, and its ultimate cannot be interrupted.
Ice, Dream, Arrow, and Reaper form A tier. Dream’s Z damage and X scaling improve against NPCs and bosses, while Arrow Flight gains 35% PvE damage. Reaper is a proper Blood Demon Art entry, and its intended build now works because the Reaper Fighting Style compatibility bug has been fixed. Blood Manipulation stays B despite On Slaught gaining 10% PvE scaling, since the earlier Art and Sickle nerfs still limit its PvP threat and overall payoff. Tamari remains B.
For the full comparison, see our Slayers 2 Blood Demon Arts Tier List. You may also see these called Evil Arts in-game. Keep clan effects separate from the art itself: Shabana's party bonuses can support a Demon build, but they are not innate Blood Manipulation skills.
Slayers 2 Weapons Tier List
Weapons need two rankings because Demon Slayers and Demons do not chase the same endgame equipment. I am ranking the upgraded versions you actually build toward, not letting a strong base-weapon patch outweigh the stats, passives, and full moveset of its later form.

Firstlight Tanto remains the safest all-round Slayer recommendation. It combines top-end damage and block stats with quick M1s and easy combo routing. Firstlight Spear offers better reach and AoE, although its Z barrage uses hyper armor rather than i-frames. Lost Shotgun stays S because its endgame stats and PvE catches remain excellent, but Z’s final knockback removes the free route into X, and X invincibility only begins after a successful grab. Series weapons also keep their effects after Water uses Whirl Pool, Water Wheel, Constant Flux, or Dead Calm.

Axe and Mace
Firstlight War Fans remain my best overall Demon weapon thanks to elite stats and a complete mix of melee, range, and AoE. Firstlight Bladed Wagasa keeps S provisionally through its stats, mobility, crowd clearing, and Sun Immunity, but it is clearly weaker in PvP: Z starts slower, its final strict stun and block damage are reduced, while X loses stun and block pressure in exchange for damage and better tracking.
Nightfall Claws remain the safer A-tier pressure option. Nightfall Sickles keep A provisionally because of their endgame stats, mobility, AoE, and required Blood synergy, but the earlier Z and X reductions still make the pairing less oppressive. Nightfall Scythe remains B, while Axe and Mace’s small speed and damage buff is not enough to overcome its C-tier stats. Nightfall Serpent Katana stays A on the Slayer side after settling at +3.5 additional damage and a 17% damage factor. For full stats and acquisition details, see our Slayers 2 Weapon Tier List.
Best Slayers 2 Clan, Style, and Weapon Combinations
Already rolled a useful clan or crafted an upgraded weapon? Start by checking whether the complete setup supports how you actually fight. These are quick build directions, not mandatory pairings:
- Water + Tomioka or Urokodaki: Tomioka is now the higher-ceiling choice because Tidal Blood slows Water-hit targets by 20% for five seconds and each Water’s Clarity stack adds 5% Water damage. Urokodaki remains the easier progression and defensive option, especially now that Mask of the Master persists after death or save-slot changes.
- Flame + Rengoku: The easiest S-tier Slayer recommendation. Flame’s faster Z and held V give Rengoku’s damage and burn package reliable openings in both PvP and PvE, even though Wind now has the higher overall ceiling.
- Thunder + Agatsuma: The V0.110 cast-speed and stun rebuff restores much of the pursuit build’s threat. Rice Spirit still lacks strict stun and now requires a short hold, so confirm it instead of treating every dash-in as guaranteed.
- Wind + Shinazugawa: My current high-skill Slayer ceiling. Wind keeps its strict-stun confirms and now applies substantially more block pressure across four skills, while Shinazugawa converts those openings into damage, movement, and stamina advantage.
- Sound + Uzui: Back among the strongest specialist builds because Roar breaks guards again. Enhanced Hearing adds its wider 25% damage mark, while Musical Score can interrupt an attacker. It no longer blocks the incoming damage and has a longer cooldown, so it remains a timing tool rather than a panic button.
- Stone + Himejima: A strong bruiser setup despite the clan nerfs. Stone gains a second-hit guardbreak and an armored ultimate, but its counter returns less often.
- Insect + Kocho / Serpent + Iguro: Kocho’s Poison Draw bonuses combine with shorter Insect C and V cooldowns plus an earlier V chase, although slower entries and removed V invincibility still punish mistakes. Iguro remains a strong Serpent duelist despite slower V startup and losing its Arena/Ranked death poison.
- Shockwave or Pyrokinesis + Kamado/Soyama: Shockwave remains the safer control choice, while Pyrokinesis supplies the larger burst window and better long-range ultimate pursuit. Kamado adds universal control and sustain; Soyama converts successful pressure but does not give Shockwave a second counter cooldown.
- Obi or group Demon builds + Shabana: Obi is now the strongest pressure partner thanks to better guard damage, faster and stronger field traps, and an uninterruptible ultimate. Shabana’s zone and party passives remain excellent for coordinated teams. Blood Manipulation and Sickles are still a specialist route despite the new On Slaught PvE bonus.
- General Slayer build + Firstlight Tanto: The safest universal weapon route for quick M1s, combo conversion, and high damage and block stats. Firstlight Spear is the stronger alternative when reach and AoE matter more.
- General Demon build + Firstlight War Fans or Bladed Wagasa: War Fans offer the most complete package. Wagasa still adds Sun Immunity, mobility, and crowd clearing, but its reduced stun and guard pressure make it the riskier PvP choice.
- Blood Manipulation + Nightfall Sickles: Still the required specialist pairing, but no longer a priority meta recommendation. On Slaught’s extra PvE scaling helps bosses, yet both halves retain major damage, block-pressure, or confirm-speed nerfs.
Should You Reroll or Keep Your Current Build?
Keep a useful A-tier option while you progress. If its bonuses support your chosen style, a reroll is not automatically an upgrade. Rolling or buying a new clan now keeps your clan skill-tree progress, while resetting or swapping your Breathing, Evil Art, or Fighting Style refunds its skill points. The same applies to weapons: a refined specialist that fits your kit can outperform a nominally higher-tier piece you have barely upgraded. Chasing a famous surname or shiny V3 without a plan is still an excellent way to become broke with lore.
For PvE, value repeatable damage, area coverage, and enough stamina to survive after the rotation ends. For PvP, distinguish strict stun from normal stun, i-frames from hyper armor, and a true guardbreak from ordinary guard damage. First Light can save a low-health target with an 8% heal and four seconds of 30% damage reduction, while Nightfall Hunt adds 15% damage against enemies below 30% health. Global cooldowns and the shared counter timer still make the second decision just as important as the first hit.
Slayers 2 Tier List FAQ
The current guide ranks 41 clans, eight Breathing Styles, and nine Blood Demon Arts. The dedicated weapon guide has 15 Demon Slayer placements and seven Demon weapon placements, although a few universal weapon classes can be used by both sides.
Not automatically. Tomioka, Agatsuma, Douma, Shabana, Urokodaki, Iguro, Tamayo, Kocho, and Sabito can all be excellent when their bonuses fit your build. Rolling or buying a new clan now keeps your clan skill-tree progress, but a well-matched specialist can still outperform a random S-tier name.
No. Some bonuses depend on a particular style, party, mode, weapon, or successful counter. Shinazugawa earns S through the current Wind pairing, Uzui becomes much stronger with Sound, and Soyama still shares the universal counter cooldown. Judge the complete build.
Yes. Evil Arts is another name used for Blood Demon Arts in Slayers 2. Blood Manipulation is also known as Blood Sickle, while Tamari is sometimes spelled Temari.
No. Returning styles and arts have reworked kits, and the sequel has different clan and combat interactions. Use rankings for Slayers 2 rather than assuming the original game’s best picks still dominate.
Wind is my early V0.182 overall pick, with Flame beside it in S tier. Wind combines strict-stun confirms with 30% more block damage across four core skills, faster X and C startup, and a quicker long-range tornado. Flame remains the easier all-rounder for consistent PvP and PvE results.
Shockwave remains my early V0.182 overall pick because its strict-stun conversion and armor-breaking counter solve the most matchups. Pyrokinesis is the stronger burst alternative, while Obi joins S tier as the best dedicated guard-pressure and field-control Art.
Firstlight Tanto remains my best overall Demon Slayer weapon, with Firstlight Spear, Lost Shotgun, and Nightfall Katana completing S tier. Firstlight War Fans remain the best all-round Demon weapon, with Firstlight Bladed Wagasa joining them in S. The complete placements match our dedicated weapon tier list.
V0.182 pushes Wind to the top of Breathing and returns Sound to A through Roar's guardbreak. Obi moves into the Demon Art S tier, Pyrokinesis gains cleaner recovery and pursuit, and Arrow, Dream, and Blood Manipulation receive PvE buffs. Tomioka's Water synergy improves significantly, while clan health, gear health, set bonuses, and reset systems also change.
No. Resetting or swapping your Breathing Style, Evil Art, or Fighting Style now refunds the relevant skill-tree points, and previously lost points return the next time you join. Rolling or buying a new clan also keeps your clan skill-tree progress.
That covers the current V0.182 all-in-one rankings. Wind and Obi are the major tier-list movers, while Tomioka, Sound, Arrow, Dream, and several build pairings gain meaningful practical value without forcing an exaggerated tier shuffle.
