When are the Crafting and Programming skills coming to Roblox Welcome to Bloxburg?

It has be be any day now...right?!

With its undeniable resemblance to the popular non-Roblox game, The Sims, Welcome to Bloxburg is one of the most realistic, if not the most realistic, life simulation experiences on Roblox. In saying this, however, there comes a point when players begin to look for what's missing: what does their real life have that this experience doesn't? After a bit of digging, players found it—the ability to craft and program. With the eight other skills available inside of Welcome to Bloxburg, why are these two excluded, and when will they be added? Unfortunately, the answers to these questions aren't easily found.

Crafting skill details

Though no specific details have been released regarding how to raise the Crafting skill or what the skill as a whole will entail, we assume it'll work similarly to the Handiness skill in The Sims, meaning players will likely be able to purchase and work on some kind of crafting or woodworking table to create decor, furniture, and more. The Crafting skill could also allow players to fix broken items inside of their house or upgrade household items and appliances that allow it. If implemented, this skill could also be connected to the Mechanic job that's currently in the experience.

Programming skill details

Similar to the Crafting skill, details surrounding the Programming skill remain a mystery. If it mirrors the Programming skill within The Sims, as most of the skills in Welcome to Bloxburg do, players looking to increase this skill can expect to spend a great deal of time at their computer. It's unknown if this skill will bring an entirely new job to the experience once it's added, but we wouldn't be surprised if a game designing career does end up stemming from it. Alongside a full career, programming could also be implemented as a way for Robloxians to earn some extra money on the side through picking up freelance projects or selling their own designs.
