You don’t stay relevant in the world of MMORPGs by standing still, and Old School RuneScape (OSRS) has stayed popular thanks to regular content updates. If you’re interested in what Varlamore has to offer, check out the full Varlamore map below.
Old School RuneScape - Full Varlamore Map
The Kingdom of Varlamore arrived in the OSRS world in the March 2024 content update. Also known as the Shining Kingdom, it is the first of three parts of this continent to be introduced (along with the Kebos Lowlands and the Kingdom of Great Kourend). If you want to get to Varlamore, you will need to complete the Children of the Sun quest, which begins in Varrock.
On arrival in Varlamore, you’ll be in its capital, Civitas illia Fortis. The zone has a real ancient Roman and Greek vibe to it, with the residents worshiping the sun god Ralos. The continent also introduces an intriguing new backstory to explore, as the area is littered with strange Old Ones ruins. The Old Ones are presumed to be extinct, but never say never…
Varlamore offers a large amount of new content. Some of the highlights include:
- Avium Savannah: Players looking for fresh hunting challenges can leave the city to the south and enter the savannah. If you’re a level 40 Hunter, you can visit the Hunter’s Guild there and take on unique Hunter creatures, but there is something out there for everyone.
- Fortis Colosseum: The Colosseum is on the east side of the capital and offers players the chance to be a gladiator in a new mini-game as you fend off waves of mobs.
- The Grand Museum: Set in the north of the capital, the museum is a great place to delve into the lore of the new continent and its people.
- Ralos’ Rise: Head west of the capital and up into the mountains to discover this sacred dwarven town, where you’ll find a new dungeon to explore.
