Is Rust Cross Platform?

Finally, there's a way to steal from your friends!

Which Platforms Have Crossplay?

The Console Edition of Rust links all console players together, allowing all versions to talk with each other without limitations. Even between the latest generation of consoles like the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5—players don't have to worry about keeping up with new hardware to continue playing with their friends.

The ability to play between console generations and console platforms is also available, making it so friends can play between PS4 and PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, or completely mixed.

Does The PC Version Have Crossplay?

The PC version of the game isn't compatible with the console versions. This is likely due to the two versions having minor differences between them both graphically and mechanically. There is no word from the developer on whether this feature is in the works, but Rust is a huge multiplayer game, so implementing it will take a lot of time and effort.
