What is Skull of Siren Song in Sea of Thieves?
The Skull of Siren Song is the first competitive PvP voyage in Sea of Thieves. It can appear randomly and pin a note to the mast of every ship on the server. All players can start the voyage and gain the same map, complete with the same task. It adds mystery and tension, especially at the start as you search for sails and other players trying to complete the voyage.
Starting the voyage causes Captain Briggsy's ghost to appear and be your hunt. There are three objectives in Skull of Siren Song: find the treasure key, find the key, and bring them together to hunt the treasure. All players receive two maps, one leading to the key and the other to the chest. Collecting either will mark these players on all maps and as beacons in the sky.
A single crew must bring together the key and chest to proceed. Opening the chest reveals the Skull of Siren Song, a powerful but cursed weapon. It can be used to fight off skeletons and enemy pirates, but the curse will slow your ship, making completing the unique challenges gained upon collecting the skull more difficult as other pirates chase you to steal the skull.
