How to beat the Ancient Cock in Shadow Warrior 3

Shadow Warrior 3 throws several different enemies at you and Lo Wang, including bosses. The first boss you encounter is the Ancient Cock, a bird-like demon. This demon is tougher than others you've faced before, so you may be wondering how to the Ancient Cock in Shadow Warrior 3.

The Ancient Cock in Shadow Warrior 3 has three phases to beat. Each has different attacks and patterns and will require different strategies. Here is how to defeat the Ancient Cock in Shadow Warrior 3.

Phase 1

The first phase is the simplest to beat. The Ancient Cock will use a variation of rush attacks and lasers. You can dodge both easily by using your dash to sidestep them. Deal as much damage as possible to the Ancient Cock to reach phase 2. We recommend using The Outlaw and Basilisk.

Phase 2

The second phase seeds the Ancient Cock split in half. The lower portion will use jump attacks to crush you, while the upper half will fire lasers at you. Keep both halves in your view as best you can and focus fire on the top half. The Outlaw and Basilisk are good against the top half, while the Riot Gun is good for the lower half.

Phase 3

The final phase of the Ancient Cock requires more platforming skill than gunplay. The bottom half will slam the ground, creating a shockwave. Jump over this and destroy the yellow vines to reveal a grapple ring.

Grapple up to the rocks and make your way towards the head. Move quickly, and don't stay in one place long as the top half will attack you with a laser. There are some rocks that you can use as cover. Once you reach the top half of the Ancient Cock, Lo Wang will kill the boss, and you will have beaten the Ancient Cock.
