How to unlock more Miracles in Shin Megami Tensei V

Clear the map of obscurities.

Shin Megami Tensei allows players to upgrade their character in various ways during their adventure across the Netherworld. Players can upgrade the Nahobino by purchasing Miracles, the game’s passive upgrades that permanently impact the main character and his party. Miracles don’t all come unlocked, though, so what can players do to gain more Miracles for purchase?

To unlock more Miracles in Shin Megami Tensei V, players must destroy Abscesses littered around the game’s open areas. Abscesses are masses of malignant energy covering the map in Shin Megami Tensei V. Once players find these masses, and they’ll need to defeat the mini-boss hiding within it to banish the Abscess.

For each Abscess that players destroy, a new set of Miracles unlocks for players to purchase using their Glory points back in the World of Shadows. Make sure to visit Sophia and browse the Miracles tab to see all the newly added options after each Abscess removal.

Some Abscesses may be harder to find than others, but don’t give up. The demons lurking within these masses are often well worth the effort to find and defeat, as players cannot unlock these passive buffs for purchase otherwise.
