Imagine you're building something special that requires placing objects on top of one another. You might even be trying to build something much more complex. However, the game only allows you to place objects on certain tile spaces or snaps onto certain angles. In order to move objects freely:

  • Press CTRL + Shift + C to open the cheat box
  • Type bb.moveobjects on and press enter
  • Hold left ALT to move objects freely

Now, any object you try to place won't clash with another and can be placed regardless. In order to turn this cheat off, use the same steps, except typing this in the cheat box instead:

  • bb.moveobjects off then press enter

In order to move objects up and down, hold left CTRL while pressing the 9 or 0 key to move the objects up and down.

That's all you need to do to move objects freely, whether they're on the floor, walls, or ceilings. You can also move them up or down and stack them on top of each other to create your own masterpiece while building in The Sims 4.
